Pls do remember that if ur broder has any defect routin anti cocci will save. A great deal and u can also keep eye on monthly lasota to avoid viral infection

ur idea is good but don't use tampoline u have to buy wood and net d iron net not d nylon mosquito net then let d carpenter build like a room or big cage if u like inside dat room then after that u buy white waterproof to cover everything for warmth I will upload a pic for u to see

I wanted to use the tampoline for the roofing instead of zinc.....and the room already has walls around it. It's just the door n window that will need the net if I'm correct. I'll add the nylon to my list. Please reply

Tapoline for roofing is because of cost I guess it ok for now but it may not last for more than 8months cos of direct sun ,so u can use it for now and try and wash d walls of d rooms in ur pics

Yea from September d price will jump then for ur broader just secure it well and d most common disease during rainy season is cosidious which is easily contained with embazyn forte and other anti cocci drugs do it regular antibiotics and lasota then no trouble till sales

Here's the list of vaccination programme I'm using for my birds that are 4wks old now. I got it from my veterinary doctor for those that might need help...

Day 1 ---------- glucose or vitamin
Day 7 ---------- 1st gumboro vaccine
Day 14 --------- 1st lasota vaccine
Day 21 --------- 2nd gumboro vaccine
Day 28(4 wks) ----- 2nd lasota vaccine
6 wks ------- Fowl pox vaccine


These are the most important vaccines for broilers. There are others but they are mostly for layers since they have a longer life span

Yes lasota and gomboro vaccines are given twice before day 29 but after that u repeat lasota on broilers usually every 4wks to checkmate viral disease , new castle infection

Well spoken but it can only be achieved where u have standard farm with lightening for 24hrs else birds cannot feed without light
So its better u practise what is practicable within ur reach and avoid theories of non practising farmers

i don't av any experience in brooding, nd am just planning to buy it at 4 weeks nd raise for anoda 6 to 8 weeks making it 10 to 12 weeks. I want it to command gud market price, since am not d one dat started d brooding.
My que is dis, can a broiler actually b breed to marketable size at 8 weeks. Tanks

My farm has no electricity....... The only option is rechargeable lamp

Sorry for my late response to ur question u can actually raise d birds to 4wks but after 4wks u must move them , then d 19 by 26ft room cannot accomadate 200 matured broilers except they are not well feed
So option a is use d 2 rooms after 4wks of broading then sell part of it before maturity or look for alternative accomodation
Option b is reduce d no of birds to 1500 and use d 2 rooms for raising d birds

8wks broilers are mostly sold to frozen feed clients so if u ve d Market why not,
But for people that buy life size its better to get to 10wks for greater market prize
