and again i repeat, obasanjo ruled for 8 years. it is hausas turn. why do you hate the hausa so much ? you dont think its their turn to rule ? ebele was there for 6 years. its hausas turn. stop being greedy. jeezzzz
I love the Hausas, after we did not even vote Buhari yet we got 2 appointments. But the Yorubas that not only campaigned for Hausas, but voted enmasse got only a parrot role.

Fear North, for I am with you.

It is time for the Yorubas to join the rest of the south for a peaceful secession or continue to be a deputy to North during election and dustbin trash after the election. Used and dumped.

If not that the Ministerial positions are constitutionally mandated to come from every States, the South West would have gotten nothing. So in essence, Buhari will only be forced by constitution to recognize the South West. As we can see, using his freewill, he has used and dumped the Yorubas.

Sorry my SW brothers and sisters, God will intervene grin grin grin

You can go on your secession plans alone, the South West is not interested.
Obj is from the SW and he was president for 8 years with a Northerner as his deputy, it's the Northerners time now to be president with the SW being the deputy.
When is it gonna be your own time?!

As for ministerial appointments, the SW can never be relegated because we don't put all our eggs in one basket, either way we still get something out.
You should be more concerned about your region.

listen, yoruba does not care who buhari appoints. we know he is a righteous man who will do a good job against corruption. we voted for him to fight corruption not because we want him to appoint yoruba. like i already told you, we had our turn with obasanjo now its buharis time and he can appoint whomever he wants. if he likes he can appoint all pygmies into his cabinet we dont care. we trust the man and his intentions and thats good enough for yoruba. we dont need any political appointments in his cabinet. what we need is a better nigeria

One thing I like Buhari for is he is full of surprises! Even though I am not one of his fan!

Dont blame PMB much nor the north for the lopsided appointment. Blame selfish Tinubu!!!. When APC gained power they debated that they should use regionalism for appointment so that every region will have appointments but Tinubu opposed the move strongly.......Tinubu thought being APC Chairman that he will be allowed to flood Nigerian government with his own cronies.......just like he single handedly picked Osibanjo (His worker) as vice president, He even was positioning his wife for a position in the senate before Saraki took him by surprise.

koboko69:
President Muhammadu Buhari has pulled yet another surprise — filling key positions in his government outside of popular speculations.

Against permutations that the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) would be Ogbonnaya Onu or Rotimi Amaechi, Buhari has picked a relatively unknown party man from Adamawa state.

Those who speculated that the chief of staff (CoS) was going to be Babatunde Fashola, former governor of Lagos state, or Hammed Ali, a retired colonel and former military administrator of Kaduna state, have also been shocked with the choice of Abba Kyari, former MD of UBA Plc.

How much do you know about Buhari’s new appointees?

BABACHIR LAWAL: PASTOR AND POLITICIAN

Nigeria.Lawal, from Hong LGA in Adamawa state, is an ICT engineer, PRINCE2-certified project management specialist, APMG-certified change management specialist, business analyst and a Christian theologian with specialisation in missions. He graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1979 with a bachelor in engineering.

He later worked at Delta Steel Company, Aladja, NITEL and Data Sciences Limited. He set up his own ICT and telecommunications consulting firm in 1990. He is also a member of the Nigeria Computer Society, the Nigeria Society of Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. He is a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was in the inauguation committee headed by Timipre Sylva.
In an interview with Daily Sun newspaper in 2014, Lawal said Boko Haram was sponsored to get sympathy for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
He said: “Boko Haram was sponsored to initially get sympathy for President Jonathan. Now, it has backfired. Let me tell you this. I am a Christian and pastor. In 2012, the campaign was that we should vote for Jonathan because he is a Christian. In the churches, nobody wanted to hear anything about a Muslim president. They did not vote for Buhari. They voted for Jonathan who is a Christian.”

ABBA KYARI: LAWYER, BANKER, SOCIOLOGIST, EX-EDITOR

Initially thought to be a possible choice for the SGF position if Onu was not picked, Kyari, from Borno state, is now saddled with organising the personal staff of the president — one of the most powerful jobs in government. His CV is not only rich but diverse: he has two first degrees — one in sociology and the other in law; he has been a banker as well as a newspaper editor.
Kyari got a BA in sociology from the University of Warwick, England, in 1980. He also holds a BA in law from the University of Cambridge, England, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1983. In 1984, he obtained a master’s in law from his alma-mater, the University of Cambridge.
Between 1988 and 1990, he was editor with the New Africa Holdings Limited Kaduna, publishers of Democrat newspapers. He was the Borno state commissioner for forestry and animal resources in 1990 and was secretary to the Board of African International Bank Limited, between 1990 and 1995. He attended the International Institute for Management Development at Lausanne, Switzerland, and participated in the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School, in 1992 and 1994 respectively.
Kyari was executive director, management services, UBA Plc and later the managing director and chief executive of the bank. He was appointed a director of Unilever Nigeria Plc in 2002. He served as honorary member of the presidential advisory council on investment in Nigeria between 2000 and 2005. He is also a director of ExxonMobil Nigeria.

president-buhari-fulani
vice president - osinbajo- yoruba
senate head-bukola saraki-yoruba
senate speaker-dogara-hausa
house chief-gbajabiamila-yoruba

so yoruba is the top 3 position running the country, hausa is 1 and fulani is 1. so you tell me who is winning ? YORUBA. not one single igbo is present.

NB I THINK I MESSED UP THE NAMES OF SOME OF THE POSITIONS BUT YALL GET THE POINT LOL

Sukkot am afraid I will disagree wiv u on this. Nigeria is deeply divided. We use the principle of federal character to ensure adequate representation. During obasanjo era, one of the reasons he wasn't popular amongst the yorubas was because they thought he would do what Buhari is doing now. He was very de-tribalised.

Am sorry but Buhari has fumbled. He cannot tell me only people from his region can get the work done? Does he know that deliberate lopsided appointments is unconstitutional and is against the principle of federal character. How come hausas shout federal character only when it favours them! Tel me what a retired col can do in customs, is he saying there are no competent southerners in customs? Do u know hausas have been heading customs for the past 30 years. Is that place exclusively for them! Sukkot something is wrong and it hurts me when I see yorubas siding wiv gambari. It hurts cus I know this people.

That someone has been riding the same vehicle for decades could also imply that the person is rigid and not amenable to change. In a fast technologically changing world, the person might find it difficult to adopt changing technology to improve efficiency of institution under him.

Driving an old gasoline guzzling model car when you can get fuel efficient, reliable and cheap modern car is not a virtue. We need people who are technology compliant not some old archaic, rigid and frigid people abeg.

Buhari need to understand that Nigeria is a muti ethnic society and no region has the MONOPOLY OF COMPETENCE. He is trying to prove some people right that he is an unrepentant tribal bigot

Let him work with people he can trust. Thats all.

The only appointment i care to be from all states of the federation is ministers because of the constitution.

Our constitution doesnt say head of parastatals should be appointed from every state. I just want result!!!

You are getting it wrong. This is not a tribalism thread. I am not a tribalist. You narrow Biafra down to Igbos, whereas I have told you that this is about Biafra. And there are over 100 ethnic nationalities within the Biafran Dynasty. I am not Igbo, I am a Biafran, and Igbo happens to be the most popular language in the Biafra Nation. I can relate to your beaf. Igbos are trading in Ladipo, Yes. Alaba International, Yes. Agric, Yes. Trade fair, Yes. At Mandillas, Yes. At the road side traffic, Yes. Do they also own outlets at big boutiques of Lekki, Ikoyi, Yes. Do they also own Banana Island, Lekkil VI real estates, Yes.

I think Igbos are just sophisticated, they populate the poor and the rich terrains, leaving nothing for other people. These Igbo people are even into ANYTHING that gives them money. I love Igbos, they are a great people. I love yorubas too. Make no mistake, this thread is NOT about Igbo, but this is about Biafra, and I enlightened you that Biafra has over 100 ethnic nationalities. Stay on course, dont become tribal, I am not a tribalist. I am Biafran Nigerian.

real lagosians do not trade. thats for the igbo immigrants. its like how you go to america and you will never catch an american driving a taxicab. its immigrant job. so all that trading business is low level to lagosians and they will never be caught chasing traffic down and selling gala. i think i know what your problem is, because you come from the poor SE you see success as selling in ladipo market
