The individual that hit her didn't wait and the LIB reader who witnessed the incident and sent the photos in said the woman died right in front of him. So sad! RIP but their supervisors need to be held responsible for their protection while on duty. We're there any safety cones diverting or drawing drivers attention to their presence?

RIP but truth be said, many of them are not always safety cautious. Some will stay almost at the middle of an express road in the name of sweeping the road.
They seriously need to be safety cautious. Rest in piece though.

Next time this is what you should to try and identify the driver. Describe vehicle with details of make colour and model time of accident and direction in which the driver was heading.
Circulate via social media and ask individuals to look out for such vehicle looking out particularly for dents, broken lights and cracks on windscreens. When a car hits a human at anything over 50 kilometres per hour, it usually leaves huge dents on the vehicle. Hopefully we can apprehend the culprit this way.
