hope you know much about the famous ECU chip issue which causes the gearbox to go haywire thus replacing both gearbox and ECU (which is an expensive fix)?

If I were in your shoes, I'd look for another car eg, CR-V and avoid heart bleeding stories.

Either get a manual of RAV4 2001-2003 to avoid the gear issues

Get CRV instead

Or get 2004-2005 but you should be prepared to pay more.

In addition, just know that there are lots of seller will try and pass 2002/2003 as a 2004/2005. Just know you know how to differentiate them

any Rav4 between 2001-2006 should be avoided.. listen to me and gain peace ignore my warning and you might suffer it.

2004/05 is the same thing. 2006 model is a different design altogether. If you want to look yourself, check out:
