I couldn't find any other online links, except the one on FIBA's website. But you would have to pay $9.99 to watch it there.

Looks like the Algerian girls won't bow out without a fight and a strong performance to appease their pride.

Yes. I was thinking it would be a blow-out, but sometimes playing for pride makes a team tough to beat.

Did you just say "IF"

I don't care if the guineans have pride to play for. I know they have one very impressive player in Peruch Niang, who made 17 pts and 7 rebounds against us but who cares?

Angola will "CRUSH" Guinea and top the group or at worst they will just beat guinea by a respectable scoreline if they start with their bench and give their main stars like Filipe and Ndoniema less run-out times on the court.

So D'Tigress..... Buckle up for the next challenge girls..... We got this...... *smiles*

Had a hard time locating this thread. The gals seem to have topped the group. Angola will come second. Makes the path to the semi-final a bit easier I guess..
Re: 2015 Women's Afrobasket: D'Tigress On The March by TheSuperNerd(m): 4:20pm On Sep 29, 2015
Angola is a low-scoring team. It seems their biggest strength lies in defence. Angola will top the group should Guinea eventually fall( I know they'll fall- But hey! I'm open to surprises *smiles*).

This is because they beat us in our first game unless you're saying points scored is considered ahead of Head-to-head when two teams are on a 4wins 1loss record (4-0-1).

Great to see our girls topping the overall scoring charts......... Hurdle up Girls! Go D'Tigress!

Head-to-head is the first tie breaker in this tournament. So, its highly likely that Angola will win the group.

But D'Tigress are, so far, the highest scorers in the tourney with 402 points.

FT: Angola 89-47 Guinea.
That confirms Angola as group B winners, Nigeria finish as runners-up, Senegal finish 3rd, and Egypt claim 4th place in the group.

Nigeria will face the 3rd placed team in group A on Thursday (Independence day) cool
Re: 2015 Women's Afrobasket: D'Tigress On The March by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:47pm On Sep 29, 2015
Well, there we have it........... *smiles*

This must be the first time in the competition that the Angolans are scoring over 75 pts in one game. Before now, their highest was 71. Others were as low as 57, 52, 50 or whatever else they had that never crossed 60.

Ok.... It's unto the knock-out stages... Go D'Tigresses

I beleive these ladies can go all the way to the finals, to winning the championship. It would be energy sapping for Mali and Angola in the semis. The ladies seem to get better with each game grin

The semi will be either very easy (Egypt) or very tough (Cameroon). The home crowd seem to be a major factor in urging Cameroon on.

like football basketball is not mathematics. Any team in the knock-out stage is capable of creating an upset. The Angolans were beaten in the group stage by Egypt if am not mistaken, and we beat every other team black and blue except SEN.

Most teams would never want to be beaten twice, we beat Angola in the semis in AAG and they took their pound of flesh in the group stage of this championship
we beat Mali in the prelim of same AAG but we eventually lost in the finals. My only advice for the ladies is that they should avoid being complacent with Egypt and be careful with cameroon (virtue of being the host).
