What error message are you getting on Cortana and Windows update

For windows updates... Nothing was downloading (I've reformatted the system, hope dat problem wud av been solved by now...haven't tried it tho)
For Cortana, it's not searching beyond my C drive. I am using using search icon tho not the search box... And I guess cortana isn't activated on my PC.
For WiFi... Hmmm.... U wouldn't believe after formatting, d problem still persist... Permit me to list d observable ones..
1. WiFi can't see some device's hotspot, while some phones and anoda PC can detect dem(it's only happening to a specific device tho)
2. Would connect to my phone hotspot now, but won't browse
3. Sometimes connects and disconnects concurrently
4. Won't even connect to WiFi @all(wud b saying 'can't connect to dis network", dat was b4 I reformatted it yestdai (jst came back from a long distance journey, would check things again 2day)

it all depends. Your laptop has two ram slots. if the 4gb inside is a single stick then you just need to buy another 4gb stick to make it 8gb but if it's two 2gb sticks then you'll need to remove both and get two 4gb sticks or a single 8gb stick.

4gb cost 5k
8gb cost 10-12k

for SSD, you should know that 128gb ssd cost more than 1tb hdd. So depending on the size you want I'll suggest you budget 30k up.

I'm very sure any laptop seller or repairer can do it for you. These are easy upgrades

It all depends on your available finances. Where money is not a problem, HP 650 is an older model and a new PC will give you the performance upgrade you need - Modern processor, DDR3L or DDR4 ram, SSD/HDD combo, full compatibility with windows 10 and future Windows etc

I have windows 8 Hp 2000 series (15.6") at 40k. It has 2Gb RAM and 500GB HDD.

Tho the keyboard will need some fixing, nothing serious. I just don't have time on my hands now, would av gone to service it myself.

Drive d graphics to reduce the brightness ,drive HP cool sense and other HP power management. That should help
