Born in London, England, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje split his time as a youth between the UK and Nigeria. After earning a Masters from London's prestigious King's College University, a career in acting came his way when acclaimed director Frank Marshall cast him in Congo,
, Adewale's newest role is Mr. Eko on ABC's Lost. Mr. Eko is a passenger from the tail-end of the plane whose survival and combat skills are crucial to the rest of the people on the island. He is know with the main group of survivors and is the only known survivor of the tailies.

I love him. Or rather, the role he played as 'Mr. Eko' in 'Lost'. That cool and composed demeanor he possessed was fabulous.

I like him because he is proud of Nigeria and he dont pretend to use fake accent. Evem nost of his film he always alter yoruba words

I've never heard him speak any Yoruba words but he was great in The Mummy 2.

Is he a pilot or why is he featuring in so many flight related roles.

actually he made a yoruba statement in THE BOURNE IDENTITY. in the scene he went to check a body in the morgue.

yeah i remember that yoruba statement

i had to rewind to make sure i heard it properly,
he was supposed to be a 'chief' from east africa yet he spoke yoruba

at least he could have put some effort inot pronouncing the line well

In Bourne Identity, he spoke Yoruba when he was tongue-flogging one of his aides.
Something like 'Ori e o pe' = Your head is not correct.

Then he was the infamous Simon Adebisi on Oz.
He sang more than 5 Yoruba songs on the TV serials.

The dude is talented. . . . . . .
I will check 50 cent's 'Get Rich Or Die Tryin' movie again to see if he made any Yoruba comment on it. grin

I am not even sure if that was meant to be in the script.
He was supposed to be an African dictator somewhere in the south of the continent.
The dude just blurted out the Yoruba to fool the movie directors. grin

He grants interviews in his Nigerian accent, no forming. Last I heard from him, he was going to be in a play in Nigeria.

Now i love the spirit in this thread,we all see him as a nigerian and we all are proud of him nobody saw him specially as his own cos of his tribe but we all saw him as our own,if we continue this way then there is hope for our dear nation Nigeria.
