JOB DESCRIPTIONS


IT SUPPORT PERSONNEL

-Graphic designing and planning.
- Programming and managing of computer software and hardware.
- Promotional video production.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems.
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
- Setting up new user's accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship software developers
- Testing and evaluating new technology.
- Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- Applying electronic business in support of all activities in the industry.
- Ensure the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately
- Generate and revise web pages.
- Regulate and manage access rights of different users on websites
- Lay out content on web pages.
- Test websites to see if there are any parts that are difficult to use.
- Fix links that don’t work and pictures that aren't appearing properly.


ACCOUNTS OFFICER
- Responsible for the company’s accounts.
- Staff payroll management.
- Work effectively with all accounting software.
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment.
- Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems
- Interact with auditors in completing audits.
- Represent the organization in any business related forum.
- Manage the production of annual and quarterly reports and accounts and the associated supporting evidence and reconciliation.
- Ensure that key financial processes are properly documented and updated and reviewed regularly with a view to achieving improvements and efficiencies.
- Produce as required any ad hoc reports required by management.
- Survey operations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Appraise, evaluate and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the property's description, value and location.
-Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the manager;
-Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;
-Organizing and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings.
-Resourcing the library and internet to discover and confirm information relevant to court cases, depositions and legal research.
-Preparing and maintaining official legal documents.
-May require to work long hours in order to meet deadlines.



ADMINISTRATIONS OFFICER;
Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
-Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
-Supervise and coordinate activities of staff
-Interview job applicants.
-Conduct orientation programmes for new employees.
-Administer salaries and determine leave entitlements
-Be involved in staff training and development, preparation of job descriptions, staff assessments and promotions
-Prepare annual estimates of expenditure, maintain budgetary and inventory controls and make recommendations to management
-Maintain management information systems (manual or computerized )
-Locate suitable business premises and negotiate reasonable leasing agreements
-Provide and maintain business premises and other facilities, including plant machinery and equipment
-Review and answer correspondence
-Provide secretarial or executive services for committees.


PERSONAL ASSISTANT
• Arranging travel, visas and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with the manager to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations;
• Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
• Organizing and maintaining diaries and making appointments;

COMPANY DRIVER
• Drive company vehicles to pick or drop employees
• Deliver important documents to required destinations
• Ensure that all deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient
• Keep vehicle clean and maintained at all times
• Perform preventative and regular maintenance on vehicle
- Experienced in new model vehicles.
- Five years driving in Nigeria.

Temitope, are you advertising afresh vacancies you previously advertised on the 10th of September?

I thought folks on NL attended interviews today and last Saturday. A friend received an invitation for last Saturday's interview but the notice came in so late on Friday she couldn't make it.

As someone who has handled recruitment processes in the past I need to say that you ought to give candidates notice in good time so they can prepare - some may need to borrow money or an appropriate interview attire because they are broke.

When you give people enough notice in good time it helps a lot and it is also beneficial to you the recruiter in the sense that your pool of strong & suitable candidates is enlarged.

A minimum of 72 hours for candidates residing in the state where you are interviewing.

And a minimum of 1 week for out of state candidates.

If you rush the recruitment process you might make a bad hire and end up having to start over again which is not time or cost effective
