For the benefit of those who don’t already know, Pounded Yam, or Poundy or Iyan (in Yoruba), is a staple food in Nigeria. It is prepared by thoroughly pounding pieces of Yam into thick paste; after they are boiled. It is the most stretchy of all the Nigerian fufu recipes; if well prepared. The action of pounding the Yam, has been done manually (with mortar and pestle). The pounding is usually tedious, and sometimes involves more than one person pounding simultaneously; espeially for large quantity needs say, restuarants. However, some bright ingenious minds have thought it wise to design a machine to relieve man of the physical labour. This machines will do justice to your Yam in 1–2 minutes! WHO IS THIS PRODUCT MEANT FOR? The Electric Yam Pounder is meant for: 1. Homes 2.Hotels 3. Restuarants 4. Eateries 5. People needing a faster way of preparing Pounded Yam 6. Those who do not have the time or energy to pound manually 7. Businesses that don’t want to disappoint their clients in delivering food orders 8. Those looking to satisfy their customers Those that want to attract more customers and sales. HOW TO USE THE MOTORISED YAM POUNDER MACHINE: Peel and slice the yam tuber(s) into small pieces (as you normally would) Weigh the small pieces of peeled yam to ensure it does not exceed 50G Put water in the boiler section of the machine and pour in the Yam. Let it boil to normal pounding softness Pour the boiled Yam into the pounder and turn it on for 50-60 seconds. After that time, touch/feel the result (texture and all). Are u sure u get the measurement well, cos if you do, 50g is a very small qty, it's nt more than a kid would finish. Do ur checkings well pls. |
