Eid Ul Adha / eidal adha (sometimes eid ul zuha) is a Muslim festival which is celebrated every year on 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah in the month of Zulhijjah of Islamic Calendar. The festival of eid ul adha is alos known as bakri eid in India. Eid ul adha means great day of sacrifice or eid korban. It is the second big festival of Muslims after eid ul fitr, so it is called greater eid.The reason for celebration behind eid ul adha is to honour the willingness of the true devotee of Allah, Ibrahim (Abraham) who agrees to sacrifice his son Ishmail for Allah. But the Allah stops him from doing so and said that his sacrifice is granted and give him with a sheep to sacrifice in place of his son. So people celebrate eid ul adha and sacrifice animal like sheep goat or cow. This animal meat is divided into three parts and on is for family itself one for relatives and remaining one for needy one. How I love this! It's beautiful...
