Rather than going through the back door to run a medical laboratory, I would suggest that you get some training as a public analyst and start rendering laboratory services as an independent consultant under them. Its safer and cheaper from the legal perspective. @coollabman this advice also applies to you.

My dear, there is no such thing. You must do some course work in an accredited institution before internship, exam and finally induction. Slt is way off the mark except you don't mind switching to med lab tech. By the way, what's your area of specialisation?
