I have a suggestion; Why don't we give our animation a brand name e.g the americans have cartoons, the japanese have anime/manga. We could have a brand name like AFRIMATION - since our animation is distinctly different from the japanese and the americans. What do you think?

good idea, but it'll sound cheesy if it has "africa" or "naija" as a suffix.

Sorry, aren't you proud to be an African or a Nigerian for that matter? Why would adding those words sound cheezy? It's about time WE stop underestimating our abilities - the foreigners are already doing a good enough job in that aspect. undecided

i'm not underestimating anyone. i'm just saying it'll be good if it sounded good. u don hear d japs calling theirs JA-nime, JA-nimation, nor d americans calling theirs AMERI-toons or something like that. don get me wrong.

Well, if the Japs and Americans don't do it, what's to say we can't start the trend and pioneer it. What's with copying Hollywood - now there's Bollywood, Nollywood, Dollywood etc etc. Somebody started it not so? undecided
