"He was a great man, I knew him personally, I spoke with him. When I had issues in school the man helped me. He's one of the best, if not the best muslim I've ever met in my life
Sometime, I wonder why the good leave this world too soon and the wicked still alive and active in this world. He was so good and vast in micro-economics, only few great lecturers specializes in that part of economics, we lost one of the finest economist in the world, he was just too good when it comes to economics. He was so jovial and free with students, he teaches with ease and doesn't see the need for students to fail, he was a level adviser to me and also an HOD to me, so I'm so blessed to be your student, you a great man sir. I will forever be proud and grateful for a man like him. #tears in my heart". Quote me anywhere

may Allah have mercy on their departed soul. he has taught us that it is possible to live righteous life and still reach the peak of the career.
He served in several committees with corrupt ones even in NASS and refused to be corrupt as if he knows he will not live long before meeting his Lord.
he died at the age of 49.

"Hey baby, that's life for you. He was more than a great man, he was just too good and was envied by all the other lecturers because he was really flying in terms of academics. While the wicked ones were stagnant, he was just going from one place to another for contracts and was still earning salaries from unilorin and fountain university. He was too good to die, you can never encounter him and you remain the same, you can never say anything bad about mobolaji. I had personal encounter with this man, he was there all through to help me, something no lecturer can do, even graduate assistants can't even help because of pride, he brought himself so low for me. You should understand how I feel, someone you meet on the way and he smiles and chat with you. During exams, he moves around and go through your works, if he sees anything funny, he tells you that you wrong and you should do the right thing, he gives AOC during exam periods. He was was behaving like a white man, and that was what makes him unique. He left my school, they had to beg him to come back, he was just to good he gave us only 1 day in a week out of his precious time, he gave unilorin 1 day in a week that's to tell you how hot he is, and after he finished his tenure as HOD, he was called by CBN and was still doing his visiting lecturing. He's indeed a great man, I weep for just 2 reasons, first, his gentle and meel lifestyle and lastly, his brain, God need to do something about that, his talents just went to the grave like that. Its a sad world".

He's even the reason I'm talking to you, you offended me though I started it at first. I thank God I apologized and you forgave me, that day I mentioned you and you got angry, you should have said it politely, you really scolded me and made me looked bad. Ever since then, I've been avoiding you, but all is well dear. Hope someday we meet, just me and you no midolian no temitemi1

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor-designate of Fountain University, Osogbo, Prof. Abdul Hakeem Mobolaji, his 14 year old son, Muhammad and four others died in a car crash along the Lagos Ibadan expressway on Sunday September 20th.

According to The Nation, the professor of Econometrics was traveling with his two sons, the late Muhammad and Abdul-Hafiz as well as one of his friend, Mr Abdul-Rasheed Attah, a lawyer, when a commercial bus rammed into his SUV after overtaking another vehicle on the narrow road.
The road had been partitioned by the contractor working on it. Professor Mobolaji and his son died on the spot. His friend Attah and the late Mobolaji’s second son, AbdulHafiz were injured. Attah immediately called a relative and gave his phone to a woman to inform the person of the accident. Shortly after, he and Abdul Hafiz went into a coma. Four people including the driver of the passenger bus died in the accident.

Speaking on the sad incident, the deceased professor's son, Abdul Azeez said "Who will take care of us now that he is late? I was expecting to link up with him at Fountain University today (Monday). I was calling his phone on Sunday when I didn’t hear from him whether he has reached Ibadan where he was expected to pick other family members but he wasn’t picking his calls. I called him severally up to 30 times but no one was picking the call. I called the MD of Al Barakah Microfinance Bank to tell him that I have been calling my father but he was not picking his call that he should help me call him but later he came back with some people to announce his death that Allah has taken him back. I pray to Almighty Allah to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss because he was the bread winner of the family and no one else.”.

The late professor and his 14 year old son were on Monday buried in Akinyele Local Government Area, Oyo State.

Mr Bolaji(He was not yet a Professor when he taught me economics(a borrowed course) in my first few years in the university) was no doubt a first class lecturer. A devout Muslim and a good man to the heart. Even though he left before I concluded my programme, He still remains one of the best lecturer I have ever come across. May almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Fridaus.

I agree o , the contract for the road has been awarded like 5 times by each govt ,every 4 years ,it pains me because my elder brother died on this Ibadan Lagos express road and many of my relatives as well , my father narrowly escaped death on the same road ..
black man is desperately wicked , the only we are good at is religion and parties

what a loss, what a tragedy....why does the wicked lives and the good ones die early. My HOD, my lecturer, my teacher you left so soon. While some are known as baba 40mrks in economics dept, you never wish your students to fail. Still remembered how you conduct 3 test for us and you went as far to pick highest score for each student out of the 3 test.

Heard you just got your Professorship last 3weeks ago. Yet death took you at this young and bright age.

*An Econometrics specialist

Dr Mobolaji as we called you, Rest in Peace sir.

May the Lord God give your family, unilorin, dept of econs unilorin, your (ex)students and your cliques(kilichi, Mustafa and the likes) the fortitude to bear the loss.

For 2013 unilorin economics Graduates

He taught me in economics department of Unilorin in 2003 before he left for further studies in UK in 2004. He was reticent, yet compassionate. Meeting him for the first time, you cannot but be consumed by the Spartan simple life he lived. I saw him last in 2008 at the point of collecting my certificate. May Allah forgive him and admit him into paradise. Amin

He's a good man. I wish you know the kind of lecturers we have in Economics dept in unilorin...he's probably the only good one among his mates dia, only among the new young ones do we have some like him.

Though most of them are good academically but they are as wicked as the devil. For close to 30yrs they never allow a first class, until dis year when the likes of Bolaji fought and make it happen for those who merited it.

"baby, wish you had met this great man. If all lecturers behave like him, Nigeria will be a great nation. He's the best, he never for once failed any student, he was too playful and we respected him for that. He hated immodest dressings, I love him for that, we lost a brilliant economist. He would have been our future cbn governor, cause the way he was flying at the age 49, only God can stop him".
