The Nest of Champions Uyo will on Friday the 25th sept 2015 @7pm host the Promise keepers (Akwa United) against visiting solid miners (Nasarawa united) in what will be termed arguably the first of its kind in the History of Glo Premeir League games in Nigeria.

This singular act justifies the rapid growth in our league in recent times. Currently night matches in African leagues are only synounimous with North African countries. Only south Africa and Rep. Of Congo (TP Mazembe) can be categorized among these, with respect to night matches.

It is worthy of note that this was successfully experimented during the last NNL super cup in Ilorin where matches were played at night. It therefore shows that susequently probably next season more matches will be played at night and will also increase TV coverage.

Akwa United will definitely fight for all 3 points if they really want to remain in the top flights as they are currently swimming the relegation muddy waters following their last weekend away defeat at Ibadan!

Nasarawa United on the other hand are the most successful team in the 2nd quater of the league and most remembered as the 'Record breakers' having successfully broken both Kano pillars' 12yrs and Sunshine star's 7yrs home unbeaten records. Esosa Igbinoba currently tops the Goal scorers chat with 14goals.
With the recent form exhibited by the solid miners the Nest of Champions might be in the verge of witnessing another humiliation from the Kabiru Dogo lead side come friday nite!

I will suggest the lmc share the tv right deal among two or more pay tv sport station. May be between supersport and starsport, or may be ait,tvc and channels. Even the epl is shared between skysport and BT sport.

Like I said there are certain things we ought to meet before demanding all you have under listed, some of our stadia are still nothing to write about! Aside Enyimba and Kano Pillars only 3sc and and Wikki tourist have maintained considerable amount of fans turn out at the stadia since resumption of the EPL. LMC still have a lot to do with respect to reorientation and branding the league to make it more marketable.

As for DSTV brouhaha I don't blame them cos they are still enjoying their monopoly but very soon all that will be history cos competitions will soon hit them

Lekan salami a.k.a adamasigba(3sc), nest of champions (akwa utd) and aba township stadium (eyinmba) are d few wit natural pitches, d rest are artificial. Even of d 3, only d nest is beautiful n we knw y. Adamasigba luks lyk a pitch in front of a complex, aba townshp stadium is just lyk a pitch in the middle of upstair buildings. Its all about viewership and standard of your league, and sponsorship. Remember PSL is more popular than EPL in south africa. In South africa, people subscribe to DStv and their main reason to do is because of PSL. When PSL rights were still held by SABC Sport, DStv subscribers were 1.5m. Once DStv bought the rights, the subscription shot up to 5 million subscribers, the biggest in africa, while nigeria still boost of 2m subscription. You got a long way to go guys. The sooner people go to subscribe because they wanna watch local league, then your league can increase the rights.

The other issue is, there is no demand for the local league rights, its only supersport alone that compete for those rights. In South africa the competition is tough, so the biggest bidder wins. Supersport is not alone in the market, there is SABC sport, eTV, SiyayaTV. If it can happen dstv looses the PSL rights, they will loose 70% of the DSTV subscribers. So they will pay any amount being asked by psl just to keep their business afloat.
