Do you know you can tell if someone used ur PC behind your back?

Here is how to that.

Step #1: Open the Run dialog box and type eventvwr.msc and hit OK to open the Event Viewer. A quick way to open the Run dialog box is by pressing Windows+R, or your can find it by searching “run” in the app search box.

You can also open the Event Viewer by typing “event viewer” in the app search box.

Step #2: In the Event Viewer, you may see warnings and error log from applications. Don’t worry about it.

Event logs are normally stored in three log files: Application, Security and Systems and this log events can be viewed.

To view boot log of your PC, click on “Windows log” on the left sidebar and click on “System” from the drop-down menu. Right-click on “System” (first click on it before right-click) and select “Filter Current Log”.

Step #3: In the Filter Current Log window, click the arrow on “Event sources” box look for “Power-Troubleshooter” and hit OK two times.

The options there are arranged in alphabetical order, so just quickly scroll down to “P”.

Step #4: Once the log is filtered, you will be left with info on the date and time you system was accessed and the mode it was on (whether it was on sleep mode, hibernate, or shoot down) before being accessed, with the latest access info being on top of the log.

Select a log to view more information about it in the box below. You can view when the computer was last turned off and how the computer was turned on.

With this trick, you can check whether your computer was accessed in your absence by checking if there is any access information you are not aware of.

Don’t forget to share because sharing is caring.
