'Dear Customer, enjoy 3GB + N25,000 worth of International and local calls @N3,500 only. Simply text yes to 567 or dial *567*1#. Valid for 30 days.
Enjoy international calls to Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Singapore, & USA at a discount.'

I have been receiving this message repeatedly from MTN for about 2 weeks now. I am usually circumspect when it comes to promotions or mouth-watering packages from these mobile networks. Being a heavy user of bytes, I wont mind going for something more economical. Fellow NL , I need your opinion before I take the plunge. I am about renewing my subscription for data.
Re: MTN N3500 Data Plan, How True? by Humblega(m): 4:02pm On Sep 27, 2015
The 1 am receiving is different though in same format as urs. Mine is 1GB+#750 for #750. Using *567*1#. Valid for 7 days

Validity of mine is too small

Ok
Initially, I was on normal 1.5G daytime and 3G nighttime for 30 days at N2500. Then MTN flashed 2015MB at N2015 for 30days. The later plan resulted in accumulated 16G for night activity. And now this current one.
Please, anybody with information.?

Selected sims. Perharps you browse a lot or probably you make international calls. Get ready for more surprise from them this October because Airtel is kind of giving them headache. I remember when I saw a tariff plan called "unlimited 50k" via the the User short service code *123#

Actually, I am a heavy user, especially in the browsing dept. On the average N16k a month, calls & internet activity on MTN.
While I am being careful stems from my experience with Airtel. I am a regular with their N12000 calls, sms, and internet package for N3000. I suspect that what I am getting from them now is way short of what I initially got. Thus my suspicion with this new MTN package.

That was exactly what airtel did to me. I subscribed to their N3000 for 30 day promo, leaving a balance of N1500 credit. I got a text okaying my entry. Lo and behold, the N1500 credit was exhausted first before the promo was allowed to comence.

Truly, I prefer bundles where you have total control. No strings attached. Now, we have so many packages flying around supposedly, friendly. The moment you subscribe, the network takes you to one corner of the ring and 'pummel' you till you vomit what they want.

MTN was virtually spamming with SMS concerning the promo. I just couldn't ignore it any longer. I'm currently on promo plan.

Mine is N600 for 1500minutes of National calls + 500MB of data. Valid for 30days.

It's the 1500minutes of call that got me thinking........that's actually 25hours of calling time to call any network. shocked shocked
N600 is a small price to pay for 25hours call time to call any network. For once, MTN have tried.
