for starters, my posts shouldn't make you uncomfortable.

I am very comfortable in kano. not once have I regretted serving there.

the initial problems I had when I first moved was communication as most of the natives do mot understand English language. as such they use that opportunity to cheat those who they perceive as johnny just come. with time you would understand the basics just as I have done.

yeah, my friends redeployed and at a point I was very lonely. but I have gotten a new flatmate so the issue of loneliness is no longer in question.

the standard of living in kano is very cheap. if you are the kind that loves to club and party, there are night clubs and bars in sabon gari and no man's land. there are also fun spots you would live Asides the mall and cinema.

tribalism also exists but I know how to deal with it my own way.

as per my last diary post, it has absolutely nothing to do with kano.

kano is the place to be for service year. only pray you get posted to the town as the villages is nothing to write home about.

I'm presently in Kadun LGA in Kaduna and I don't like the place at all... pls I need help!!!

Posted to a Lagos LCDA... Anyone with an overview on serving in an LCDA should please brief me!...
Was told to come back on Wednesday tho.(Acceptance and rejection on my mind)

Both LG and LCDA performed same functions in LAGOS.. The only difference is that FG(Obasanjo era) did not recognize the LCDA which was created by Jagaban Tinubu.... We now have 20 LG and 37 LCDA in Lagos....

90% of Corps members posted to LG/LCDA don't do anything and will/might be advise at time by their staff to find something else that can fetch you money doing..

@Taeewo, the option for Registration for remobilisation on the website, what is ur take on it? It says there it is for corp members who have been mobilised but absconded (ran away) from service. I have a contact whose redeployment didnt work and i am advising her to just leave the state and look at exploring the remobilisation option, perhaps she would then get batch B or C. Would you advise this, i just really need second opinions so i dont end up giving bad advice
