see how pretty those fish you posted look
How could anyone want to eat them?

It's almost like they're saying "but,I love you"
but what do you do?
you chop off their heads and  scrape off their scales and throw them into a deep frying pan with hot, scalding vegetable oil
that's mean cry cry cry
how could you be so heartless

fish is the bomb!
I eat it every day; I farmed it and I make a lot of money from it.
I prefer my fish grilled(CATFISH AND TILAPIA)

Silk, wetin you do again grin

really? what happened? you know what, i don't like all those walmart/other stores tilapia. there is this china store i go for my tilapia when i feel like eating Tilapia! live!! they have a huge glass tank all filled with tilapia. Huge, Big, small etc. the fishes all playing hide and seek.
you go in the back with the china guy and point at the ones you like. he fish it out with their net and then weigh and take it in for cleaning and cutting for me.

The taste is that of Heavenly bliss . . . taste fresher than others. True there is a big difference in the taste with those at walmart etc.

na my fish store/resturant Chemical and Aligator dey play like this?

get a room both of you.

Tilapia is a very nice fish. I love the feels of the bones. if you are lucky to have live tilapia and huge ones, you will love it. i just like fish and not too picky on them, my fav are salmon, catfish and tilapia. i have tried croaker but the bones are no jokes, too tiny and could escape the rice into your throat. snapper is nice but the smell is too strong. so i like them all. a fresh tilapia goes a long way in ya taste bud cheesy

This fish taste nasty.

It's not as soft as a catfish. . . .seems hard and scent actually. And I do NOT like the scent.
Maybe it's because I baked it undecided

Re: Fish Lovers Come On In! by sosisi(f): 2:19am On May 04, 2009
*Hauwa*:

Osisi, those chicken you love, have you been to where they are slaughtered? you just have to see the sufferings, their popping eyes etc.

Chicken was given by God to be eaten.
He placed them right here on earth with us within easy reach
They are meant to nourish us  whether fried, baked, grilled, barbecued, boiled, stewed, broiled, sauteed, stir fried.

But fish on the other hand lives all the way in the water
What are you doing going all the way there to capture an innocent creature just minding it's own business.
some of those fishes look like some people we even know sef
how can you eat your fellow "human being" grin
how do you sleep at night knowing you just ate tumfulu grin
Re: Fish Lovers Come On In! by Hauwa1: 2:27am On May 04, 2009
Gator, african store if you have one near you. jamaican store maybe.

also ask Osisi, she does farm hen at her backyard grin.

if there is anything closer to tumfulu, it's your fowl. check out their toenails ewwww. you could even paint it with nail polish.
the apa or aka looks like human armpit grin

so leave my fishes alone grin
Re: Fish Lovers Come On In! by teissys(f): 9:26am On May 04, 2009
There was a day my mum bought us already fried fish from the market. I had started eating mine from the tail going upwards. When I got halfway, I saw some intestines sticking out; and the gills shocked. I was soooooooooooo. . . pukes
From that day I only eat fish that I cleaned and cooked myself
Re: Fish Lovers Come On In! by teissys(f): 10:51am On May 04, 2009
Ugali/Pouded yam and stockfish
Ingredients:
stockfish
1/2 kg beef
3 tomatoes
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic
Green vegetables(Pigweed, spinach or kales)
Five irish potatoes

Method:
Boil the stockfish until it becomes tender. Remove from heat and wash it with cold water. Pound the garlic and add in the boiled stockfish to season. Squeeze some lemon on top(This reduces the strong smell of the stockfish)
Wash and cut the meat in a pot and the onions. Add salt and place on heat (I find meat boiled till dry with onions is tastier)
Add cooking fat in a frying pan and heat. When the oil is hot, add the tomatoes then cover for three minutes.
Add the green vegetable and stir. Cover for another five minutes for the vegetables to cook.
Now, put both the stockfish and the boiled meat and mix.
Cover the stew let it simmer for ten minutes.
Serve warm with ugali, pounded yam or rice.
Enjoy cheesy

Re: Fish Lovers Come On In! by teissys(f): 1:07pm On May 04, 2009
Lol, Hauwa.
I am as kenyan as ever. Anyway, it depends with the part of the country you come from. Maybe your friend comes from upcountry(Esp. Kikuyus and Kambas). Kikuyus don't like meat. But I'm from the coast, along the Indian Ocean; so it's fishy world(Trust me I can eat fish upto three times a day).
All the same, I would love to date a nigerian man someday wink wink wink grin
