Popular and well loved lady dancer in Afrika Shine, Dodo Mayana has been reported dead. Dodo used to be one of late Afrobeat King, Fela Anikulapo Kuti‘s dancers. She later joined Femi Kuti‘s band after Fela’s demise as one of the cage dancers. Although in recent years, she’s stopped dancing and began selling drinks at the New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja, Lagos. She was said to have been hit by a car on her way home last night at Grammar school bus- stop, Omole, Lagos.
