Boko Haram loots shops, fuel stations in Geidam

Boko Haram militants raided Geidam town in Yobe state on Wednesday night, looted shops and carting away essential supplies including food stuffs and diesel.

Daily Trust gathered that gun fires and bomb explosions rented the air in the town till mid night when the insurgents escaped with their loots.

Geidam is about 180 kilometers from the state capital, Damaturu which suffered three separate bomb attacks earlier on Wednesday. At least 17 people were killed and 11 injured in the suicide bomb attack.

Residents in Geidam told Daily Trust that some people were killed during the night raid.

A witness said he saw four dead bodies on the ground close to the market shops were the militants carried out the looting but added “we didn’t identify the corpses."

A trader revealed that the militants forced their way into the town with sophisticated weapons in three Toyota Hilux vans, one Mitsubishi Canter (Open back van) and four motorcycles.

They broke into Yusuf Abba Hassan Investment Petrol station and carted away diesel and other petroleum products, Daily Trust learnt.

"A large number of them burgled our shops and carted away food stuffs that include rice, Beans, vegetable oil, spaghetti and others," the trader said.

He said the insurgents had a field and loaded all their vehicles with the items in batches adding: "I was watching them from my hide out. They went and uploaded the first loot and returned for the second time uninterrupted."

These Boko Haram guys had a field day in the Governor's hometown. They packed foodstuffs and diesel and loaded them unto their trucks. The other day, they had a field day in Buhari's Housing Estate in Damaturu killing scores of innocent Nigerians.

Meanwhile COAS is somewhere busy doing press-up grin

Yobe is the next focus

- Borno seems to have been lost to Nigeria Army.
- Adamawa has been quiet.
- We need to relocate our command centre here.
- Chad needs to block the exit there.
- Yusuf Abba Hassan Investment needs to be investigated by DSS.
- General Dambazzau needs to resume work on Thursday next week after screening.
- Corrupt politicians must give up now as the game is over.

BVN and TSA giving problems to financers and suppliers of operational materials to Boko Haram since May 29, 2015.

what nonsense

This APC government should please become serious with governance, the more sluggishness and confusion they exhibit, the more Nigerians lose their precious lives and hard earned properties so easily.

They are winning the war.
When the news first came out, thought the police spokesperson said the situation has been contained, people should not panic and go about their daily businesses.
