GIWA 1-0 DOLPHINS

The Pride of Rivers are in serious trouble after they crumbled 1-0 against the Jos Elephant at the Rwang Pam Stadium and must battle very hard in the remaining five matches if they are to remain in the topflight at the end of the season.
On the other hand, the three vital points recorded by Giwa FC have revived their hopes of ending the season with a continental ticket as they have moved to fourth place on the log with 54 points from 33 matches while Dolphins are 17 with 35 points.

FC IFEANYIUBAH 3-0 EL KANEMI WARRIORS

With the refusal of the Borno Army to embark on the trip to Nnewi for their tie with the Anambra Warriors over salary arrears issues, FC IfeanyiUbah chalked up three points and three goals without sweating at all and the victory has lifted them up to ninth on the log with 47 points from 33 matches while El Kanemi are 13 on the log with 43 points.
El Kanemi are the side with the worst leaking defence in the league this season with 51 goals let in from 33 matches while scoring 33 goals, an average of a goal per match.

SHARKS 2-0 WIKKI TOURISTS

The Blue Angels downed the visitors from Bauchi 2-0 at the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt to ease their relegation worries with five matches to the end of the campaign.
Afeez Aremu put the home side in the ascendancy before Christian Pyagbara doubled the advantage from the penalty spot and the encounter ended that way to the delight of Sharks’ fans and supporters who thronged the stadium.
Sharks, with Festus Allen at the helms, are 16 on the log with 39 points from 33 games and they have opened a four-point gap between them and the four teams in the drop zone presently while Wikki are still third on the table despite the loss with 54 points from 33 matches.

FC TARABA 1-0 HEARTLAND

The Jalingo side kept their faint hope of premier league action next season alive after they pipped Heartland by a lone goal at the Jolly Nyame Stadium on Sunday.
Stephen Adah broke the deadlock in the second half after the Naze Millionaires had battled their hosts to a goalless draw in the first half.
FC Taraba are 19 on the log with 33 points from 33 matches and must win the remaining league matches while hoping that other results favour them if they are to remain in the top flight beyond this season while Heartland’s bid to qualify for the continent may have ended abruptly in Jalingo with the loss. Heartland are eighth on the log with 47 points from 33 matches and are seven points off the continental ticket slot presently.

ENYIMBA 2-1 3SC

The People’s Elephant trudged on in their quest to land their record setting seventh league title at the end of the season after they beat the Oluyole Warriors 2-1 at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba on Sunday to extend their lead at the top of the table to five points.
Supported by former player of the Aba side 3SC played their hearts out but they were unable to stop the rampant Enyimba team who are urged on by their determination to claim the record setting seventh league diadem.
Ajani Ibrahim, a former player of Enyimba scored the equalizer for 3SC in the 56 minute after Enyimba had taken a first half lead but Chinedu Udoji rescued the Aba Giants with a thumping header off Ezekiel Bassey’s pull out in the 75 minute.
Enyimba have reclaimed their five point’s advantage at the top of the league table with 61 points from 33 matches while 3SC slipped to 11 on the log with 46 points from 33 games.

BAYELSA UNITED 1-2 NASARAWA UNITED

The Restoration Boys chances of staying in the elite division have virtually evaporated beyond this season after they were beaten 2-1 at home in Oghara by Nasarawa United on Sunday.
Anyu Ishaya’s double for the Solid Miners handed them a vital road win against relegation haunted Bayelsa United after the Yenagoa side could only half the scores through Eric Frimpong.
The victory had in Oghara, the third away win since Kabiru Suleiman Dogo took over the team from Mohammed Babaganaru who joined Kano Pillars just before the start of the second stanza of the league, has made the Lafia side one of the contenders for the continental ticket at the end of the season.
Bayelsa United are still last on the log with 30 points from 33 matches while Nasarawa United who are still sixth on the log with 52 points from 33 games have narrowed the gap between them and third placed Wikki Tourists to just two points with five games to the end of the season.

LOBI STARS 2-1 KWARA UNITED

The Pride of Benue have secured their first win in six matches after they managed to beat spirited Kwara United 2-1 at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi on Sunday to ease their relegation troubles.
Abdulrahman Bashir scored the opening goal for Lobi in the ninth minute before Michael Ogu doubled the lead in the 19 minute. The Harmony Warriors did reply with a goal in the 45 minute through Dare Ojo but they couldn’t find an equalizer till the referee blew the final whistle.
Lobi are still 14 on the log with 40 points from 33 games while Kwara United are 18 on the log with 35 points from 33 matches.

AKWA UNITED 1-0 ABIA WARRIORS

The Promise Keepers kept to their own part of the bargain to spend another season in the topflight after another crucial three points at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Sunday against Abia Warriors.
They are not completely out yet as they are 15 on the log with 40 points from 33 matches. The Uyo side are five points away from the drop zone while Abia Warriors are 10 on the league table with 47 points from 33 ties.

ENUGU RANGERS 1-1 WARRI WOLVES

The Flying Antelopes failed in their bid to record a second successive victory over the Seasiders after they were forced to a 1-1 draw at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday.
Gbolahan Salami shot Warri Wolves ahead in the highly explosive encounter in the 10 minute of the match and missed several opportunities to increase the lead until Rangers came back stronger in the second half to level up through Osas Okoro in the 50 minute.
Rangers are 12 on the log with 45 points from 33 matches while Wolves are second on the log with 56 points from 33 games.

KANO PILLARS 2-1 SUNSHINE STARS

Sai Masu Gida needed a stoppage time penalty kick converted by Tony Edjomariegwe to beat 10 man Owena Waves at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.
It was as if the game would end in a 1-1 draw after Seun Olulayo left his duties at the left full back to pomp home the equalizer for the Akure Gunners in the early part of the second half after Waheed Omololu had given Pillars the lead when he scored an own goal in the first half.
The way the infringement that led to Pillars’ second goal came angered Sunshine’s players and this led to Chaona Mohammed’s dismissal after his complaint while Tamen Medrano was also issued a yellow card for the same reason.
