what baffles me is that the just come here and shower praises on the school when deep within them its just a trash,i guess the are all scared because the owner of the school onces said anywhere you are and you talk about him he will know about it,meaning he mystic,my dear.can you imagine that if the school resumes you are asked to make sure you are in school on the same day if not,u will be fined to pay the sum of 5thousand naria for each additional day you stay,ie if you stay 10days after resumption you will be asked to pay 5 *10,
all of you above that are writting that its the best place to be,what a shame to you for lying to yourself,because the worst thing anyone can do in this world is to lie to himself.
when madonna graduates mix up with other  graduates they get to find themeselves afraid of their enviroment even when theres no cause to be,their  mentality iabout everything isnt normal and that takes some years to make normal because of the kind of stupid rules there with worthless living condition,when i left there,it took me 6months to become normal
student hostels are like secondary school dormitories with about 300students in one big hall,unpainted ,some on plastered,some even have leaking roofs,i lived in a hostel called animal farm,damm!! for the 12-17months i spent in that hostel,it was hell,it had no ceiling,it wasnt plastered nor painted,when the sun is shinning you can't stay in there because it would be hot,when the hammattan comes it gets trebbily cold,we go to toilet in polyten bags behind the hostel and it smells badly.
i remember the time of water scarcity,oh you don't even want to think about it,we go into the okija villages to fetch water,sometimes we use rain water from asbestor roofs at the guest house,damm!!! anyone lying about madonna being such a wonderful place deserve to be hanged i swear.we really suffered there,the suffering there was so much that i had to leave,no one expelled me,i rather left for good,and I'm so so glad with where i am,and will always discourage anyone from going there.

@diamonds2, Guy i can feel ur pain. Not every one wil open up to speak out the truth rather they cover up and tel us only d good part. I must commend ur sincerity. It wil b better 2 wait and go 2 a good sch. than madonna uni. I wil advice even if u r given scholarship 2 study there just respect urself n stay in ur house. I even learnt they hav increased their tuition fee, for what?

Guys! those that are critisizing Madonna university have not made up their minds in terms of what they want in life. . I'M very proud to be one of the pioneer graduates of the noble institution. I have completed my MBA (Fin) from the University of Wales(England) and currently writting my ACCA exams. The school thought me one thing am so proud of; being independet in the exam hall.

Yeah! I was a witness to all u just said now and they were true. But the point was that the hostel in quote was a temporary accommodation for the boys. The main hostel was under construction which didnt take up to Six months to compete and we left there for good. That was the price we paid to see the school grow up to the state it is now

@alamasco, do u think it is only at madonna uni you learn to b self dependent during exams. Find out most higher insti. also take it as a priority.

Some universities in Nigeria do not take examination invigilation very serious. You end up seeing students who never read a model throughout the semester passing such course. How come? You will discover dat examination hall is not wide enough to occupy the number of students sitting for exams. The exam must take place, therefore even if students should lap his fellow student, nothing is happening. Do u call that examination? certainly not! Examination should be conducted in a spacious and conducive enviroment. such could be seen in Madonna university.

@alamasco, If u say madonna has a hall dat acomodates ur small no. during exams dat is good, but those who will cheat wil stil cheat. if a fed. uni. uses ur hall it would'nt acomodate them all. What do u have 2 say regarding someone who studied Electrical Electronics in ur sch and on graduation was given a certificate of Education physics?

u are the one that need to hide ur face cos those that read medicine in wat u called secondary school are actually doing well in the hospitals. i advise u better have a re- think. u called it a secondary school but its graduates are scattered all over the world doing brilliantly well. @ALAMASCO,let me call back to your attention that you said that that horrible hostel was temporary accomodation and the main male hostel was under construction? which took 6month to complete, thats such a big lie,yes male hostel was under construction,but for christsake,it didnt take 6months to complete,it took 4years and 3months to complete,ppl graduated living all thru in such a place,mind you ,it wasnt only the boys that lived there,girls where also made to live there too,even when there hostel wasnt under construction,infact the fact was that on the average then almost all the hostels in madonna were excatly like that.
i recall one day when the a NUC came for accrediation and saw one of the horrible hostels and asked the owner of the school wat students where doing in such a place and he said it was a hostel for the less privilages, i mean common guys how can you be paying school fees of over a 150 thousand naria and someone will be calling you less privilaged,

just got to know of this topic. m a proud madonnite and was rily disappointed to hear peole condemning us but m nt surprised. no one forced anyone to become a madonnite. u could always leave but I must say that I found delight in that school. they taught me humility, perseverance and to work hard. anywhere I go, m respected cos of my school. the principles we are taught are necessary to control the animal in man. m serving now in a wonderful place and believe me when I say people love to go there but most can't afford it or are too indisciplined to be disciplined. so, backbite all u want. it only takes truly caring parents to pay wt we pay and we are always ready to defend our profession anytime and anywhere. why else would our school be allowed to enrol for masters in great foreign schools? up madonna!

now let me draw your attention to something you just said,u said its so easy to leave,look i have 2 friends from the US,califonia to be precise,if you studied in elele campus you will for sure know them who came to madonna to study,when the found out wat actually is obtainable in that school,the wanted to leave ,and the told the owner of the school,and the owner of the school refused them going saying and i quote" even if you are jesus christ i wont let you students go,security ensure that these students dont cross the school gate"
when i wanted to leave the school,i was refused going as well,i had to tell the revered sister that i wanted to change my course of study and that the course i desire to study was in elele,that was only when she signed a permisson to let me go,ppl shouldnt come here and deceive the whole world.

Diamond, I'm sorry I vnt bin able to reply ur message. I realise Madonna has its disadvantage, I was there, I had my frustrating times bt I hope U realise it takes fire to mold gold. Evrything Father Edeh did was with a reason. He is a priest so He'll definitely train his people they way he was brought up in Seminary school. No-one was forced to attend the school. If U want to leave, they dnt hold U back. I have friends who left voluntarily cos of the fees and rules, but when U leave, U dnt expect the gate to be open 4U. I dnt talk this way cos m afraid or support anything bad. Every school has its bad side. The only perfect place is heaven. I dnt for a moment regret going to that school and believe when I tell U the NYSC officials of my state regard me differently cos m from Madonna. They believe I can adapt. Even in NYSC camp, I had no problem. When my mates were getting thinner, I was getting fat cos I was used to life in that way. I can handle life in several ways now and believe me when I say, personally speaking, if I had gone to any other school, I would have been snobbish cos it was in me but that school cut my wings and made me fly when I should. Dnt get me wrong, I see nothing wrong in a government school, it's all a matter of choice so let's stop complaning about the disadvantages of Madonna and focus on helping each other in life where it counts most. U sounded so passionate in Ur speech concerning my school. This sort comes from a personal thing U v with the school. I did not influence my posting, never paid for it. M the youngest corper in my state and I stay in Lagos enough to have seen the LIGHT. Dnt presume U r talking to a dunce and when U refer to people U r nt close to, pls learn to be respectful, though we mite neva meet in life. Ur experience and mine can never be the same. I am no prude but what U hate so much, mite be wht another loves. so, U v no right to discourage or influence anyone's decision regarding that school. U only state facts and allow them believe what they want. I have neva bin flogged. I heard they do but in all my four years, I never saw that happen.  However, anything is possible. That is wht having an open-mind teaches U. Nobody went to the village in my era to fetch water, we used pure water when there was scarcity which stopped 3yrs ago. The Guest house provides no water for students, only when the tank there is opened. Now, there r several tanks and taps in every hostel.
  Now, I nver said anyone who is in a government school has uncaring parents. U only saw my words in one channel cos U've twisted Ur mind from other reasons except tht which U think. I knw U r still vexed at the time U think U wasted there. My mom doesn't doubt my moral values. I chose the school myself and she paid, neither was I rejected by other schools cos not every Madonnite has no have influence to get into a government school. some do. It is fortunate that most of the people being expelled or suspended form Madonna for their irresponsibility at least have an opportunity to express the frustration. I graduated from Madonna and the University has really refined my life. If I am giving another opportunity to go back to the University, I will still choose Madonna without any hesitation.

@Blessing, sorry if i sounded rude to you,i have gone thru all you have written ,well the fact is still that madonna cannot be counted as one of the best 5 private universities in nigeria(i dont know how many the have in nigeria at the moment),and you cant count it among the the best 60universities there neither,like you said it has its good part(which i never saw),and probably its that part that affected you and dats good for you,its just that it pisses me off when people come here and say things which are not true about the school
you said you dont know if the flog people there,when i was there,i am 100percent sure the flogged students and some staff which i have witnessed on several occassion,i fetched my water on several occassions from the village, when there is water scarcity,well if those conditions have been improved then good for them
the thing is that there are still lots of things that are not still proper about there,no accreditation for faculty of medicine,students there have spent about 9years there(if im not mistaken) and yet the owner of the school is still telling that when the ever the graduate the will have to work for him,if the dont want to work for him the will have to forcefully pay him ONE MILLION NARIA,the same wit medical lab science which he said the will have to pay him FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND NARIA,(IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT ABOUT THIS CALL AND ASK ANYONE STILL STUDYING MEDICINE THERE IN THE HIGHER CLASSES(ie 4year and above)i always deal wit facts

Hello everyone, pls can anyone from madonna uni help me find out if I can still be issued my transcript. I collected one in 2005 but was not used due to one thing or the other. Pls can it be issued again and do anyone think a transcript from a private uni (madonna)can be accepted in a federal or state uni i.e driect entry to 200 level or 100 level? Madonna? mmmm.I 've heard a lot about d school but I used 2 yhink dat it was frustration dat made people comment negatively about d school sorry university until I heard of some school mates who had left d school cos dey were not comfortable wit d school.Dey said d school had NOTHING.I've written Jamb 4 times but if am given admission there I will not even think of it after all CARITAS university gave me admission but I turned it down.A week later I read on the journal dat a parent took d school 2 court over d death of his son in the school premises(i think it was related 2 d water tank at the hostel).
If u want 2 go 2 school go 2 betta one.even if it is private we have good ones e.g babcock,covenant e.t.c.
