I first came across the Chinese calendar in 1997. Since then, I've been following it by looking up traits of people I meet. I must say they've been accurate. People I've met behaved in the exact way they said. Amazing. It is believed that the years represented by the animals affect the characters of people in the same way like the western astrology signs.
