A few days ago, a young model in Zimbabwe whose name has been revealed
as Panashe Zhawari , a student of Harare Polytechnic, became an instant
celebrity when she went on the runway without wearing panties.
But the Zimbabwean authorities have frowned at such nudity and a
debasement of womanhood and have arrested her for indecent exposure and
is expected to appear in court on Monday, October 19.
Zhawari was scheduled to appear in court last Friday, October 9, but her
matter was referred back to the police station for amendment of charges
under the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act Section 33 when she
was initially taken to court for prosecution.
They police had charged her under the Censorship and Entertainment Control
Act Section 33, which the court argued does not disclose an offence, so
there will be an amendment of the charges.
