@OP you got the FUNAAB figure, 10,000 hectars, spot on. Funaab represented...

To those who think their school, which is not on the list, is the biggest give us the real figures, stop bragging with bilindly or with ignorance. You would have heard rumours about the size of ur school while in campus.

Unilorin? That bush? How many buildings dey inside
Have you ever been to Unilorin before? If yes, you might need to revisit. New structures are erected every session. Then before you get to academic area, you will find zoological garden, staff quarters, Unilorin secondary school, teak plantation, date palm plantation spread over about 28 hectares, jatropha plantation, the school dam, unilorin sugar research institute. So next time you visit, open your mind and look beyond the bush you will see that everything is strategic.

Re: See The Five Largest Universities In Nigeria by ademusiwa5: 1:59pm On Oct 20, 2015
Oluwadare. When they say it is abu. Technically. It is abu because western Nigeria is our name.

So ahmadu bello university is the correct answer, because it is two countries.

Abu have more land than Abuja university. Futa Abeokuta does not have that much land.

Abu is the correct answer for Nigeria. While for western Nigeria it is unilorin

The largest university in sub-sahara Africa.
The university that has hectares of land across all state of the federation.
A cousin to OAU with modern and well maintained structures.
The most diverse university, with the right blend of national and international students and lecturers.
The university that is keeping our great nation together.... Because all ethnic groups in Nigeria has a representative as a student, lecturer or non academic staff.
ABU the great!!!
Free of cultism.
We are naturally ahead of others!!!

Just in case you don't know, uniabuja extends from the airport road, tru their staff qtrs till passed the over head bridge that leads to the mini campus...those villages u see by d road side along the road that leads to gwags are all part of uniabuja perm site.

Is it then possible for d biggest university to be in d smallest state, Mr Mandator?

This is a simple logic!

Again,it is the allocation. If the city decides to allocate the greater part of their land to a university, it become the biggest

Funny folks here, comparing Unilorin with U:i is really absurd. If possible, you will find two U.I in unilorin. Finding it difficult to believe unilorin is bigger than ABU though. Apart from ABU, no school can compete with my alma mata in landmass

Leave them, its called beef, if you were in school those days when the whole of Nigeria was at home but Unilorin's academic session was ongoing you ld understand where their beef stems from. Most of them were still sitting for exams when they junior brothers that gained admission to Unilorin after them went for service. Ija ilara kin tan boro.. lol Unilorin Better by far, That's why half of Jambities still try to gain admission there in every year. And yes Ilorin has the largest landmass of any University in Nigeria.
