i think its time for an upgrade

i have the 2009 lancer in mind because it looks aggressive , more power, its not really popular and it has lots of modifications
the 2009 corolla s is a nice car but very boring ,it's kinda slow to me my uncle has one as an official ride,
but i prefer the lancer

what do you guys think, am scared of the Mitsubishi because i have read some issues on Nairaland about Gdi

from my own perspective, theres no point buying a lancer if it wont be the evo X with AWD
u obviously dont want a bland car like the corolla sport which is why ur contemplating the lancer
if u wont get the evo, just get yourself a corolla sport XRS (comes with a 2.4l i4 engine, same one in the camry muscle)

i don't really like the mazda 3 i prefer the 6 , i really av my eyes on the lancer , but is the lancer not reliable or its because of availability of parts

well for Lagos day to day and also for resale value I'd recommend the Toyota... Except if u do travel a lot then u need lil more power

Buy the one you really like and makes more financial sense.
I will naturally prefer the one thief won't steal for my personal safety reason

Financial sense does not mean you buy a car you will be bored within 15 months and sell for 500k less whereas if you buy the one yo like you will save 500k now and use it for a longer period

Think long term

Yhu seem like someone that knows what yhu want in a car. Yhu prefer the Lancer, I say go for it. Just make sure yhu diligently get a good one which won't give yhu hassles.

Get the Lancer and enjoy it's up and down. If you truly love the car then find a good specimen, follow the recommendations in the owners manual for one used in rough terrain and you should be fine.

The Corolla is proven, lots of parts I've heard but you won't enjoy it in my opinion.

No vehicles made by Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda since the past 15 years and offered in the USA market is a bad vehicle. They may have recalls here and there, etc but they are generally safe and dependable vehicles.

I think it does but I'm not sure. I lost interest in Evos because frankly the factory went rogue on that line.

As an owner of an 06 Evo IX I would strongly suggest not getting an Evo for Nigeria.

i think the automatic comes only on the wagons only or so
also i think the sedans have an automated manual transmission too...not sure..do some research on it urself
the evolution is a rally ready high performance variant of the lancer, so basically manual is standard.

Mitsubishi is as reliable as any other Jap brands, the said Lancer is a North American spec and its no doubt a solid car.
