I served in Talata-Mafara local govt of Zamfara State, nd i can say it boldly that it is the best best l.g.a in terms of light(24/7), Water(non-stop), good motorable roads, nd food cheap die. Everything in Talata-Mafara is Falafala(Excess).
Nb: Mosquitoes nd Flies will b ur best friend in Zamfara.

I passed out of ZM not long ago and I can say boldly that the state is a nice and lovely state for NYSC. You won't spend a lot for food and transport, electricity is constant, water is not a problem. If you are not in the state capital, accommodation is free.

Why worry yourself because of a program that will last just 11 months. Just be ready to be in a classroom and if you are not in medical line, you will collect 3k for six months. Just be determined.

If you can teach primary school mathematics and ready to serve in Tsafe local government in a serene environment with light and water. you can reach me on 08135134212 so that a request letter can be sent for you from the camp.

The weather condition in Zamfara state is a bit on the extreme but not that harsh as a fearful mind would paint it. The cold is usually on the high side around December and Mid February, so be ready to buy a good head warmer, hand gloves and pull over.

The heat will be at the peak around April and May, be ready to bath twice or trice daily and sometimes sleep outside. Its fun in Zamfara as the whole place is peaceful. If you have more questions to ask, reach me on

Same here....have been reading abt dat town all morning and I'm yet to find any fun there yet ooo! Even though I'm keeping a positive mind towards d place but nothing attractive has been said abt d state. Espacially about that SHARIA law and no drinking of alcohol in d camp, how boys wan take relax their nerves after a stressful activities they are made to pass through. Mehnnn dat place go boring die!!!!!!

Are u sure bout that My sis served der oh! she left fresh, came back looking like aboki . She's back to her normal self now tho...... So for all y'all posted there, unless u are lucky .... Here's a piece of advice for chics that like flashy material thingz, u better manage what your parentz, bfs or spouse give you , 2 avoid stories that touch.... Alot of corper chics av gone there n refused 2 go back home, they ve become 4th n 5th wives , even heard a mother had to travel down there 2 BRING BACK HER GIRL dat turned 2 hajia, d girl refused to follow her mother. This could be rumours tho, so ladies, be very careful......
