NB: This is just an observation. I’m not against women working, so, chronic feminists can keep off me.

Back in the days –in the 80s, 90s- things seemed to go smoothly after completion one’s university degree, where theres a job somewhere waiting for one even before one graduates.

That was a time when we had just one source of income in the family – the man, and the woman is expected to stay home and take care of the kids, sewing and maybe do some petty trading. So there was not so much pressure on the labor market.

Fast forward to 2015. Now you have women getting more and more educated, now competing with the men for positions, which is as a result of the need to have more income for the family or maybe future family, as the case may be, to ease off the burden on the man.

Now this has an ultimate consequence of jobs not spreading evenly and it’s suffocating the market.

An angle to view this but a terrible argument even from the start. Even without women in the workplace jobs would still not exist. We have to view this bad condition from the very root - our government.

The government has made no efforts in diversifying the economy, no effort in catching up with trends especially in this era of online employment and other work from anywhere jobs, no effort in bettering amenities like electricity which would enable industries run smoothly, no improvement in security to attract foreign investors and only focused on the major revenue producer; oil. Add to this an exponential increase in the amount of school leavers yearly with less than half their amount in jobs and you'd arrive at the situation we're in now.

TL/DR: +There's no problem with women in the workplace, its a good thing since there're many hands available to do the job.

+The government makes no plans in providing employment or favouring already existing private businesses.

+No jobs exist due to the government's lackadaisical attitude to youth employment and sole focus on the oil sector.

You have a point. But then, we can't blame the government all the time na.

So you choose to blame female education? Leave it here before you dilute your argument further.

Not putting the blame on that. It was just an observation. Its not as if anything can be done about it anyway.
