kshow1: darn right you are. it depends on your financial standing. however, i dont think a barber, tailor, etc. will ask such a question on nairaland since most of them know how to sort themselves out. however, if you are a banker or anything in that white collar category (where people expect a lot from you), just do a registry wedding, invest in long-lasting rings and use the rest on your new family. remember people will come, chop and go, na u and the new bride go remain. so i wish you best of luck. |

You did not give the young man the opportunity to tell you if He is planing the party Big or not. Let's start the analysis here in assumption. Your wedding ring to go for 50,000.00 or above lets estimate 2 bag of rice for the type you may have in mind --- 30,000.00 drinks(juice, wine, carbonated drinks e.g coke fanta) --- 150,000.00 couples wares for the wedding- 124,000.00 ingredients ----- 120,000.00 as you can see there is a lot I left here untourched, there for you don't need to have it Big by all means. If you have committe of friends arranging things and family who will still support you it's good, but the best is for you mind the cost and save rest of the money. If you give 10 people 1 cow to eat they will say you are not financialy wise, in case you give 10 people 1 chicken they abuse you. then do it to please yourself not anyone. call your girl and let her know what is on ground and agree on how things shld go. |

450k will be more than enough. U can buy parts of cow for 50K. 5bags of chicken, 30 crates of drinks both assorted and ordinary. Wedding cake, U dont nid to hire a hall. Do the wedding in ur compound for village or at a big space close to where u reside. U can also use fish if meat isnt enough. Any one wey food no reach make him go house like that |

You can plan a wedding for under 100k. It all depends on what you want to do but if you want some quality and style, 450k no reach anywhere. |

450k would do. I have seen people plan with 200k. A fancy wedding is not a do or die affair. More importantly it is after the wedding that is the koko. Would u use or all ur money for d wedding and go and soak garri with ur wife. In summary there is nothing that cannot be planned. Just make sure u dont invite those who adviced that 450k is not enough |

E go fit, but na una go cook the food o, and the reception go be for your house.(if ya palour no big, do am compound) No body for chop twice and no more than 1 meat. If you buy pure water as opposed to bottle water, you will also save yourself a few bucks. Good luck |

wedding musn't be a big one, just get family members together. i believe life goes on after the wedding, there's no point spending everything on that day & having nothing or little to fall back on. if you only invite close family members, u'll have a lot left for your honeymoon in a very nice place in naija |

450k can do a wedding just as fine as 45milli. You just need to make sure costs are minimised like the hall issue. Also, as much as possible, limit crowd!! Do it in your village and transport your chosen guests  |
