Ethnic models, a vision of Ronke Ademiluyi of Rukkies Fashion is working tirelessly to launch its debut into the Nigerian modeling industry any moment from now. The modeling segment, which is a progression upwards from its sister company Rukkies Fashion House, started from hiring of models to showcase Rukkies designer clothes.

It’s a known fact that the modeling industry in Nigeria and Africa is gradually getting international recognition. For instance, World renowned designers like Giorgio Armani, Estee Lauder, and Calvin Klein are now opening and closing their shows with African super models like Liya Kedebe from Ethiopia, and a handful of others are currently working with Coca cola, Guinness and other international brands.

Kamari Ademiluyi, the General Manager of Ethnic Models, noted that there has never been a better time than the present for the international fashion world to embrace African talent.

“ In a country of 150 million people the opportunities are enormous. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. But this particular pudding needs careful direction, guidance, support (political and non political), regulations, security, grooming and all the necessary criteria that any newly emerging concept requires.

Top international fashion designers ranging from Gucci to Adewale Adeyemi are constantly demanding brand new faces to compliment their outfits, in the race to set the latest trend for the season. Catalogs, television commercials, magazines, runways, beauty pageants, lingerie ads, online video ads, corporate training videos and more are constantly demanding new face models, and we at e.m. are determined to find the talent and finding work for the talented people that we have found.”

According to him, the goal of E.M is to, “find unknown unique talent, groom them into modeling material, get the talented models work, and eventually create super models out of our models”.
