On stirring up the gifts you have in you, all you need is to stay away as much as possible from sin, keep living a life of holiness and God handle the rest. Be rest assured that God is with you, He knows you, He sees you, He knows how best through you to use the gift He has given to you and His will for your life will be done either the devil likes it or not IF you continue staying in His will living a righteous life.Philippians: 1. 6. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Another thing is that we all have purpose to fulfill in the body of Christ, you need to know what God has called you to do, we have been predestined for a purpose and the way to stir up the gifts of the Spirit is to know your calling so you can channel the gift in that line. The moment you channel your gifts to your calling, you will see your self growing spiritually with the anointing of the gift increasing as you use it to the glory of God.

Psalm: 37. 4. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and HE shall bring it to pass.
Not that in verse 4,the bible says He (God Himself) will be the one to give you the desire of your heart and verse 5says He still will be the one to bring it to pass.

You remember "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven "? Yes that includes God's purpose for our life instead of our purpose. All you have to do is go to be in prayer, ask God to show you His will, tell God you want to know what your purpose is because until you realise your main purpose, you will only be serving God without a fulfilled desire.

As you pray concerning this,don't be anxious or worry yourself, just keep serving God with a pure mind and He will perfect all that concerns you. Be at peace sister

first of all I am a Christian, born and brought up in a Christian home, dedicated in the church at my birth. In 2011 I gave my life to Christ and subsequently got filled with the holy spirit though I lived a lukewarm Christian life even after receiving the holy Ghost. Fastforward to 2012 immediately after my waec and neco exams I started to experience severe oppressions, I never knew what they we're only that when I will be on my bed and most times it was in the late morning and early afternoon I would struggle to get up but I couldn't, I would scream for help from my mum and Jesus. when I finally got freed I would go to my mum and ask her "didn't you hear when I was shouting ur name" she would reply no. That was when my parent knew that I was being oppressed and encouraged me to be prayerful. My father of blessed memory was a very spirit filled man and he would pray for me at all times, even on one occasion in the night I was struggling on my bed when I saw someone with a very big head and a spear came and was about to press me with it, I screamed Jesus and it disappeared. due to my lukewarm Christian lifestyle ,I ran to my dads room to call him in d middle of d night so that he can pray for me, even while my dad was praying and blasting in tongues I fell asleep.
During this period before my admission into the university, my friend introduced me to watching pornography and I continued to experience oppressions, I really did not care about christainty in any way just a normal Sunday Christian.
fast forward to 2014, my father died and this pushed me closer to God, fastfoward to 2015,while on campus I joined a fellowship and became very fervent in the spirit always blasting in tongues and all that. during impartation I received the gifts of healing and prophesy which i operate in sometimes. subsequently I was made a leader in my fellowship and since then the devil has been fighting me real hard especially with pornography. sometimes I find myself watching it even when I dont want to. sometimes i will stop then the urge to watch it will come on again, I am tired as this is really affecting my walk with God. it is so bad that sometimes when I am reading the Bible pornographic images flashes my mind.I don't know what to do I feel the problem is maybe because the don't fellowship enough with God and probably the friends I keep dont really help matters and most of the times I am idle. pls I need you advice because I need to dump this act for good.

first and foremost, like my Pastor said it takes three steps to be a certified born again Christian:

1. Surrendering your life to the Lord Jesus Christ

2. Sanctification

3. Baptism of the Holy Spirit;


from your post, 1 and 3 are fulfilled.
Therefore, you need to pray and ask God to sanctify you.

Secondly, like it is said it takes two to tango, it might be harsh but its from experience...

If you truly don't have that desire to watch porn and no part of you craves for it, it is not possible to watch it.

But let me remind you that if Jesus comes today and we are being judged, anything you did whether you want to do it or not, is categorically our actions which we would account for!

You cannot say it is the devil or that demon because evidently, they did not use your body parts or their body parts to give you pleasure, they did not navigate to p0rn sites for you, they did not imagine you in bed with your fantasy spouse for you, it is you that did all those by yourself, with your hands, eyes, brain and any other body part, IT IS YOUR ACTION AND YOUR ACTION ONLY!!!

so you better quit that silly excuse and ask God to take away the desire for porn from you, to take away the lust of the eyes and lust of the flesh from you.

You must learn to cut the chain.

I can't confess to my family and have no christain friend that wouldn't just laugh at me so I confess to you online brethen. CHARLYG1, you seem to be very spiritual so please join me this week to pray every 3pm till sunday while I fast and pray. I need help from true christians. Since 2010 I have been masturbating and it has led to demonic attack. It is hard to explain but I know and feel it deep inside. It increased in 2014 when the evil one started planting perverse and blasphemous thoughts about God in my head which made me nearly commit suicide. To God's glory, I have not masturbated for close to a month now but, I need prayers to continue this way, which is why I am going to be fasting to 3pm everyday till sunday. The devil is telling me that God can't forgive me of my sins, and that I will perish in hell, but I chose to fight the fight of faith. I humbly say this, ever since I was a child, many people have been telling me that I am destined to be a great man. I am blessed with many gifts guys. I am not bragging.
