corps is a body of service or department designed and tailored by the military to carry out a special fuction, while a corper is someone who is a member of corps. just like banks and a banker.

I feel the ideal one should be corps member, because the word "corps" in the dictionary puts it this way;an organized group of people united by a common purpose...

my brother ,I think the OP here is not referring to how it is been pronounced.......we all know the 's' in the word is silent.....But grammatically correct way of that word is "corps"
