Afrinolly Launches the Biggest GSM Market for Nollywood and African Entertainment

Afrinolly Limited the developers of Afrinolly; the most downloaded mobile application (App) for African entertainment enthusiasts to watch African movies, movie trailers, short films and music videos is launching the Afrinolly MarketPlace, a first of its kind pay per view online GSM platform for Nollywood, the US$5billion Nigerian film industry and for other African movies, short films and TV series.

The Afrinolly MarketPlace will be formally launched on Tuesday, November 10, at the 2015 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) at 5pm at the Silverbird Galleria on Victoria, Island, Lagos.

Millions of GSM subscribers across Nigeria and other mobile telecom networks in Africa can watch Movies, Short films, TV Series and more on the go everyday while content producers can monetize their movies via the Afrinolly Marketplace on pay per view basis which is the first time producers will be earning daily income from their online videos in Africa.

GSM subscribers on MTN, the largest mobile telecom network in Nigeria would be able to pay for content via their airtime to watch videos on their mobile phones at launch, Airtel subscribers will also be able to enjoy paying conveniently with their airtime in a few weeks while users on other GSM networks would be able pay using their Debit or Credit Cards, Google Wallet, Apple Pay and other mobile payment options.
