have not seen any thing on CGI here, is it that it is fading away? everything seems to be AJAX.
DOES IT HAVE ANY ADVANTAGE OVER AJAX?
WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF CGI LIKE?

CGI is the oldest and slowest way of executing deploying a dynamic website.
You can use CGI for AJAX websites, but they would be slow. There's no point.

hey CGI has gone dude! (Joke)
J2EE is used to create web applications written in Java, J2ME is used to write mobile phone apps in Java and finally J2SE is the basic Java language itself used to write Object orientated code.
hope that helps.
