Is illiteracy an inability to read and write alone? No!! When your brain is completely idle, sitted in your skull/brainpan - this would make you a chronic illiterate yet, you can read and write.
It's a pity that most of our youth on Pdp wing are shiftless, dull and ignorant there by reassociting themselves with misapprehension of facts. They have failed to understand the importance of transportation in our country.
A Ministry of Transport or Transportation is a ministry responsible for transportation
within a country. It usually is administered by the Minister for Transport. The term is also sometimes applied to the departments or other government agencies administering transport in nations who do not employ ministers. Specific responsibilities may include overseeing road safety, civil aviation, maritime transport, rail transport,
developing government transportation policy, organizing public transport, and the maintenance and construction of
infrastructural projects.[/b]
Responsibilities and Functions.
To attain its mission the responsibilities, functions and duties of the Department of
Transportation include:
1. Coordinating and developing
comprehensive transportation policy for the State; coordinating and assisting in the development and operation of transportation facilities and services for highways, railroads, mass transit systems, ports, waterways and aviation facilities; and, formulating and keeping current a
long-range, comprehensive statewide master plan for the balanced development of public and private commuter and
general transportation facilities.
2. Administering a public safety program for railroads and motor carriers engaged in intrastate commerce; directing state regulation of such carriers in matters of rates and service; and, providing oversight in matters relative to the safe operation of
bus lines, commuter railroads and subway systems that are publicly subsidized through the Public Transportation Safety Board. There are still so many responsibilities which I can't mention, now there is no aviation ministry so it is possible for it to be merged with transportation ministry. I hope this will now or later expand their senses. Had it been that the transportation sector was effective, Stellah Oduah wouldn't have had the effrontery to mess up with our national money and buy bulletproof cars.

Rt.Hon.Rotimi Amaechi named as minister of Transportation. It will be recalled that ministry of aviation that has to do airports and air transportations has now been merged with ministry of Transpotation.Which means,Amaechi will be incharge of both air, land and sea transports including railways, aircrafts, ships and maritime authority,Amaechi will now have the power to determine the aircrafts which will be grounded at the airports and the ones to release. He now has the power to monitor the movements of enemies of state. What a juicy ministry!Indeed, whats goes around comes around.
