How many of them are even in tune with the insurgency in the stated african countries and now they are claiming to be patriotic. Why compare france to countries where violence has become the norm. Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States are all members of the G8 so whatever affects these countries reflects on the whole world. French is also the official language of many african countries so its just natural to show sympathy to their colonial masters; and for some of us who have family members in france there is nothing wrong in using their flag as profile picture.
