Nothing like killjoy, is it not true? I get angry when we pretend all is fine when we are still the ones to suffer.

I see these things all the time. This is the best hospital in Okpeze and Amaetiti in anambra, maybe you've heard of the place. Things are really bad]

What's your point though? That these public rot are not in other parts of Nigeria?

Poverty has finished your brain. See the rubbish you're typing?

I am talking about raising the standard of healthcare, you are talking about widening the gap between rich and poor.

Go to other countries and see the standard. What you call beauty is supposed to be standard.

See what bad government and poor exposure has reduced the mind of our youth to.

InyinyaAgbaOku:

Well, we don't want pepper sellers. Just as every hungry person chooses the class of restaurant that he can afford, health care delivery follows same way.
What is wrong with having an upscale hospital around? Must we travel far to access everything in Nigeria?
Yes, let rich people see where they will treat their children in Anambra and Nigeria at large.

People that are not used to aesthetics are usually scared of being reminded they are poor. What is making u think the hospital will cost billions if not for the neat environment and well manicured lawns? Is that not how a hospital is supposed to look like?

In the US, healthcare is not cheap. Without insurance most will be screwed. Why does Nigeria not do health insurance for its citizens? It's done even in small Kenya.

The point is that we should stop trying to present our land as developed when all we see are individual efforts for individual benefit.

Development is gotten by government effort anywhere in the world.

Fire departments, Standard public hospitals, Refuse disposal etc cannot be done by individuals and thats why places like in the east look rotten but the GRA will be shining. Private effort is not development.

We need to start holding government responsible. It is our money.

Mr Rich man you sound so poor to me. I'm not saying its wrong to have such hospital in our country, I am saying the poor should be treated as well and a doctor have cleared me on that

You are dumb. Development is a collective effort by govts and private individuals. Here the private sector has played a big role. The govt has not.

Wait for a private individual to build an overhead pedestrian bridge for you. You need to use your head.

Guy you don't sound intelligent at all (no offense please), the more you talk the more you expose how daft you are. Someone sited a world class hospital in his state, you are here beefing him. Is he responsible for your useless, insensitive government? Instead of you to encourage this kind of development in all the states of Nigeria, you are here yapping crap. Typical Nigerian, you want the best things of life yet you don't wanna pay for it. Nothing good comes cheap, leave those who can afford the hospital use it while you continue using the Primary Health Care Center in your village.

My friend travel and stop exposing your backward ignorance. Individual effort is nothing and does not equal development.

There are rich men with swimming pools in Niger republic, it does not stop it from being a backward undeveloped hellhole.

We need government to provide infrastructure, while private individuals develop the economy. Thats how it works not the other way round.

It is fine, but lets not pretend like thats how our hospitals are, we need to expose the nonsense government is doing, abandoning hospitals,

I live in Aba, see what the public hospital for the common man looks like, it was discussed on nairaland some time ago.
