Its no longer news that Africa’s biggest mobile phone operator, MTN has been fined a whooping N1.04 trillion by Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) for failure to disconnect unregistered SIM cards from her network of GSM subscribers within the stipulated time. What is new however is the fact the Nigeria Governors’ Forum in her meeting on Tuesday night (17 Nov 15) iterated her unalloyed support for the NCC with respect to the fine.
