Aggrieved staff of MTN NIGERIA, Kaduna yesterday stormed the Kaduna office of Daily Trust to protest what they described ‘unlawful sack’ by the company after working for seven years without benefit.
The staff who pleaded for anonymity demanded to be compensated by the management of the company having worked for years without health, leave or over time allowances.
“MTN is a major player in the telecom sector with huge amount of profits every year, but the way they maltreat and cheat their contract staff is not only embarrassing to the company but also to Nigerians.
“MTN NIG is the biggest contributor to the overall MTN profits and gains in the world. MTN NG is responsible for over 60% of the total annual revenues of MTN businesses worldwide. They engage the service of outsourcing companies or contractors like MEMCOS, CNSSL, MACTAY, UCONNECT, ISON BPO etc to manage their staffs (Contract staffs)
