OAU PARLIAMENT SPEAKER UNDER PRESSURE AS ACTIVIST CALL FOR HIS IMPEACHMENT

A renowned critic, Moshood Odunayo Olajide has call for the impeachment of Adebayo Adebari, The speaker of the parliament, Great Ife students union. Since the assumption of office of Honourable Adebayo Adejare, The parliament has not been holding session consistently while the committees working for each office in the executive arm of the students union has not been ratified and the union budget is yet to be passed.
The critic also accuse the speaker of not fufilling his electioneering promises and lacking administrative and parliamentary erudition dexterity to manage the affairs of the hallowed chamber.
Honourable Isreal Anaximander, a senior parliamentarian and constituency leader for the faculty of Arts once describe the speaker as a clog in the wheel towards the progress of the union.
Reacting to the impeachment threat, a senior parliamentarian from the faculty of Education who speak under the condition of anonymity agree that the speaker should be impeached but he is sceptical.hear him as he speaks, l don't think the speaker can be easily impeached because he is the stooge of the union President. The issue of not passing the budget may be a deliberate act between the speaker and the union president to encourage autonomous spending so that they can easily loot students fund. As a campus journalist, you should know that autonomous spending have no record and this is why the financial secretary is shying away from releasing financial statement of the union which students has been agitation for. So, what are we talking about?
Meanwhile, parliamentarians are divided over the impeachment threat.
