with the state of lagos road, it is dangerous for trailers carrying containers and tankers to be on the road.

The solution to this should be for govt to revive our railways so that heavy cargoes can be moved through there
Lols, what happened to the ones revived by the past administration?
Re: Container Falls On A Toyota Hiace Bus Along Ilasa-Oshodi Expressway (Pictured) by Abugab(m): 3:43pm On Nov 24, 2015
Lagos state govt placed a ban and restriction on their movement and the people started shouting if the govt wants to kill small businesses whose goods are imported containerized.

These containers drop freely these days faster than ripe oranges dropping from the tree.
One human life is far more valuable than a million containers and our people just have to realize that and start placing value on human lives and safety.

The urgent need for improvement in the rail sector can't be emphasized at this time. Hope Amaechi has got plans for the rail sector as it is the sector that can remove these death trap trailers and their constantly drunken drivers from our roads.

cry cry cry sooo sad , i pass thru this road everyday, its sad that the Government will wait till lives are lost before they take action, its has being glaring that the worst portion is what would have been repaired at least to avert things like this. RIP to those who lost their lives, may God grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. it is well

Exactly! direct from the port there should be a rail system connecting the country. but as we know it already. the foundation this country was built on is totally incorrect. no planning!

the best form of safety i must say is avoiding these container carrying trucks...when ever they drive close to your cars quickly swerve or stay behind it...our government doesnt give a damn about us,...these trucks would keep wreaking havoc until the world ends...i just dont know why nigeria is like this...

I have known NEVER to drive beside a trailer with a contain in bad roads, no matter how tempting that space is, forget it until you can make a one-time overtake.

This is the result of closing all other ports and making only Lagos ports functional. Everything comes in through Lagos ports.
