Saturday’s dramatic news of the death of APC candidate for the governorship of Kogi state came as an anti-climax to political watchers and his supporters considering that the veteran politician handily won the election against his PDP rival and current governor of Kogi, Idris Wada. As details of the tragedy unfolded, the electoral results have been declared inconclusive, while lawyers advised the electoral commission to allow the deputy governorship candidate, Abiodun Faleke, to conclude the election. Prince Audu was 68 years old at the time of death.
