Information provided below is to guide you on how to travel to China from Nigeria.....................................

There are different types of visas issued for travellers in Nigeria but we will on treat the Business and Tourist Visa.

General information
All applicants in these categories are expected to make an appointment prior to submitting their documents. This simply means you walk to the consular office(s) to pick an interview date.

Appointment booking: every Tuesday and Thursday except holidays, from 3pm to 5pm.

Generally speaking, you should submit your application if you intend to travel to China in person and collect your passport with an issued visa. If circumstances really prevent you from doing so (e.g. illness), you may entrust someone else to do it for you (no need to provide a power of attorney) providing that you have prepared all the documents required and signed the application form.

It is advisable that you apply for a visa one month before your intended date of entry into China but not earlier than three months. The Chinese visa is typically valid for three months. If you apply for a visa too early, the visa may expire before your departure. For instance, if you plan to enter China on July 1, the best time to submit your application would be around June 1 (counting working days only).

Applicants are expected to visit the consular office in person with passport and appointment slip. The processing generally takes one to two weeks after the interview.

Interview day: is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am to 12pm except on holidays.

Issuance: every Tuesday and Thursday except holidays, from 0900 to 1200

Ticket
There are no direct flights to China from Nigeria at the moment. However, there are several airlines that depart from Lagos, Nigeria. On the average, a return economy ticket to Beijing costs between N200, 000 to N300, 000 depending on the airline and time of purchase.

Visa fee

Please note that visa fee(s) will be paid at the point of picking up your visa at the consular office.

Period of stay =N=Normal =N=Express =N=Extra Express
Single-entry visa valid for three months 5000 9000 11000
Double-entry visa valid for six months 7500 11500 13500
multiple entry visa valid for six months 10000 14000 16000
multiple entry visa valid for one year or more 15000 19000 21000
Other important information

Validity of a visa refers to the period within which the visa holder is allowed to enter China.
The number of entries refers to the number of times the visa holder is permitted to enter China within the visa’s validity.
Duration of stay refers to the longest period the visa holder is allowed to stay in China on each visit, and this is counted from the day following entry into China.

When all the permitted entries are used up, the visa is no longer valid. Even if there are still unused entries, the visa is no longer valid if the validity has already expired. In either case, the visa holder should apply for a new visa if another visit to China is planned.
