Naming ceremony is Sunnah. There are references to to this effect. It's Mustahab to name newborn 7days after he's born.May also be delayed if father has no money for aqiqah.

Please what's the rationale in quoting Sheiks? They will always continue refuting each other as the Shuyukh of the old did. And funny enough each will try and back his verdict with something in the Quran and hadith.

In Mutawattir hadith, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: {O Mankind! I have left over amongst you two weighty things if you adhere to it, you will never go astray; the Book of Allah and my offspring, the Ahl al-bayt}

However, on the issue of bowing, evidence in the Quran suffice.

# Allah commanded the angels and the Jinn to prostrate (sujjud) for Adam. All of them did except Iblis.
* Why were they commanded to prostrate for a being like themselves if prostration is ONLY for Allah?
* Allah never command evil. His Sunnah never changes, Quran says.

# Quran clearly stated that the prostration of the angels to Adam was as a mark of respect for the knowledge of Adam.

# The only prostration exclusively reserve for Allah is that of al-Ibadat (worship). That's why before you even worship Allah, you need to know Him being your Creator and Sustainer (Lord). If these two aqeedah is not established in the mind, prostration to Him is not acceptable.

# Bowing for elders or teacher as a mark of respect or greetings is never haram. This is what Allah commanded as in the case of Angels vs Adam.

# Part of obligatory posture of Salat is Qiyam (standing). We stand for Allah with fear and humbleness. Whoever condemn bowing for elders should also condemn standing in front of elders or teachers after all both are essential part of worship for Allah. Prophet of Allah himself used to stand up for his daughter, Bibi Fatima, whenever she enters. He will stand up, hold her hand, kiss it, greet her and let her sit where he sits. And she also used to do same for her father. Actions shall be judged according to one's intention, hadith concludes.
