The economic policy of the central bank is poor and inadequate. Emefieke should have taken to Sanusi's advice and let the Naira absorb the shock of the oil price drop via devaluation instead of stupidly restricting imports, and mindlessly burning the foreign reserves just to keep the naira artificially propped. The result of this policy is that import sensitive industries will no longer be able to run their operations effectively and they will have to lay off workers to cut down their fixed running costs.
Eventually, the CBN governor will either burn all our foreign reserves in other to prop up the naira, or he will stack up massive amounts of foreign debts at higher interest rates.....but eventually, the markets will still force him to devalue the naira, which is what he should have done a long time ago. The only difference is that by the time he does it this time, the economy would be in a really bad shape already.

CBN Governors should never have to make policies that are "politically" convenient. Of course, devaluation would hurt Nigerians, but the truth is, the alternative is much worse

Nobody is asking PMB to perform miracle, all we need from him is to release his blueprint. Its over six months since he took over the reigns of power, yet we are yet to see any economic blueprint on the way forward. APC has its manisfesto, why did he abandon it, why can't he work on it. Nigerians are running out of patient, he has to hit the ground running and stop the blame game. We can't get back the 16 years PDP spent, but we can salvage the future by working now.

All the facts you listed were evident when APC was campaigning, and yet they promised Nigerians heaven on earth. It can be clearly stated that APC won the election on false pretence, which is evil.

Nobody is expecting Nigeria to be like Dubai yet, but we want to see a serious sign of commitment from the government, and we want to see an effort to fulfill the campaign promises. So far, NOTHING tangible has been done. Never forget that his nepotism has created wounds that will never heal in the heart of many Nigerians, especially those from the south.

Frankly speaking, Buhari doesn't deserve to lead Nigeria in this age. He's too rigid, undiplomatic, nepotistic, bigoted, bitter and unforgiving, to lead a fair government that will prosper all Nigerians.

We have been doing the wrong things since 1999, obj was a big mistake, gej was a bigger mistake and pmb is the biggest of all. If we must move forward, we need to start getting it right frm the primaries and not having people forced on us to vote 4.

How did you get into my head. I didn't have a voters card during the last elections not because I wasn't eligible to vote but because I couldn't see myself voting for any of the two main contenders. If we were not satisfied with Jonathan then Buhari was definitely not an option.

After the groundswell of propaganda and lies the Apc used to decieve Nigerians into voting for 'change', the propagandists are now faced with the reality of governance and they are faltering. The cluelessness of the lanky fellow is legendery and things are getting from bad to worse.

Bros, comparing Tanzania and Nigeria is not a fair challenge. How can you compare a country that speaks swahili and english as there oFficial langauge to a country that has diverse languages with brilliant people who speaks them.

Population wise, we are almost 4 times bigger than them. Economically, we are better. The poverty rate in Tanzania is much more more higher than what we have here in Nigeria.

Bro, Tanzania depend mainly on agriculture, while we have it all here. Agriculture, oil and gas, mining which we are yet to explore.

I don't need to tell you the state of this country when buhari came in. Reviving the economy under six month, bro except you want him to do abracadabra...

3: since government is a continuum, why didn't the APC led FG delve into Agriculture since it was a poster child success story in the last Administration... or you were an ostrich then as you are now to the Agricultural reforms under Jonathan

U are so correct, but don't forget the crude oil prices was already dropping below $60 when. He started campaigning for election. He was aware of that before promising free meal for children, stopping boko haram in 2 months, stipends for the unemployed and many more promises. Lest I forget, technology village, just farm and government buy advert on TVC. The weird thing is that no one is talking about it now. Everything looks nice because APC the propagandists are in power now. If not for the lack of knowledge of economics and how the economy is being run, such plans for the country would have been discussed within the party or on campaign grounds on one condition, if the crude oil prices return to $150 as it was before the election.

In conclusion, Let him face the heat

So we still have a slave here talking? Almajiris are die hard! Buhari has nothing to offer...he is too mentally weak to govern a 21st century Nigeria. Get rid of ur slave mentality! I am not a PDP or GEJ supporter, but the country was bastardised by military before they came to govt...They never shifted all the blames on military.....I understand your position, slaves don't question their masters. better to be a wailer than being a slave.
We know it takes time for a change to come, but Buhari over promised. Painted the previous govt bad, and made people to believe that things will change in months. The impatience u see is because Buhari raised people's hopes too high...He cajoled people.....He has no excuse not to fulfill his promises. but someone like me knew that he has no mental capacity to govern a dynamic and complex society.....

Let me correct u, petrol was scarce after GEJ LOST ELECTION. Because the marketers were not sure if buhari will continue with his subsidy payment. And NOI payed about 160billion to clear the marketers debt. And we know that the marketers were used against GEJ(now it has backfired). And during the Occupy Nigeria period; Jan 2012, apart from those period. They was surplus fuel. And wen the price was 87naira after Global oil price fall. We still bought it for 87naira.
That was even one of his campaign mantra. No fuel scarcity is his tenure. Like obj's govt wen we did night vigil at fuel stations.
Thank you.

1. The problem we are having in Nigeria today is mismanagement. E.g we would have saved a lot when oil was $150 but see what is happening now. You and I can afford to come online almost easily, but in Tanzania, you can't dare it.. Lastly, big man, big trouble..

2. Not exactly %80 oooo bros. But even the remaning %20 can't be trusted but we wiLl leave them to their conscience to keep pricking them. They can't rule us forever.

3. Infact Agriculture under gej is indeed one 1thing I can dole my hat for under his regime, and yes so far there has been no complain in that sector and yes more youth are going into it.

4. In summary he said subsidy was corruption.

Sorry for the late response. I just got not too long.. Good night and thanks for the enlightment though... O daro...
