The first Few trips where necessitated by the poor handling of the Boko Haram issue. Can anyone tell me specifically any of the trips the president should not have made and with good reasons.

Let us discuss as intellectuals and try not to use gutter language.

An average of $245,000 per day minus presidential jet. Hmmm.

And the president has spent about 45 days offshore.

Well, some Mathematics.

$245,000 x 45days + (jet money) = $11 million + jet money

In naira= $11 million x 248 = N2.73 billion + Jet money.

If simple things like Taxi,Accommodation and Feeding would cost 2.73 billion, it would be safe to assume that JET MONEY would cost 3 times that amount. So JET MONEY would be equal to N2.8 Billion x 3= N8.2 Billion.

So Total on Junketing = N2.8 Billion +8.2 Billion= N11 Billion.

Now, 5 things N11 Billion would have done for Nigerians.

1)It would pay 600,000 Nigerian Workers minimum wage at 18,000 for 1 month.

2)It will buy 126 million litres of fuel at 87 Naira per litre. That's enough fuel for 10 days for 1 million cars if they are given 12 litres per day.

3)It would buy 3,500 Tractors at 3 Million Naira per tractor putting almost 100 tractors in every state definitely leading to an Agro revolution.

4)

Your enjoying this abuse by APC is it? So tell us you know the subjects of those meetings, such as environment, oil etc; Why did he not send Ministers for such missions, you see zero wrong with these expenses.
Shameless has reached incredible proportions in the name of party support!

Why are the figures in dollars?
lol. The value in dollars makes it easy for the amount to be pronounced properly.

And it also kinda help to present it as cheap, especially for those who do not know the current exchange rate.

The amenities you listed are not free in any part of the world. But then, even with all your money in your wallet, you wouldn't have been able to get them still if they didnt exist in your environment; if you had N1m in your pocket, you wouldnt be able to still purchase mobile internet if it didnt exist in Nigeria (as was the case just some years ago).

May I also remind you that it was through those numerous foreign junkets which OBJ embarked upon those days, that's how Nigeria was able to secure a debt relief of well over $20billion from the Paris club. It is sometimes surprising to see supposedly educated people asking what the essence of these foreign trips or diplomatic relations are.
OBJ or NOI masterminded that debt relief ? Abeg, I challenge you to start a thread and we will put that Paris loan pay back against the World Bank Loan that he used to start his farm. Make sure you mention me, so we can discuss this intellectually, because I have pages of OBJs atrocities ready for posting.

SR should tell it to Garba Shehu, and wait for his incredulous explanation. By the way, whatever happened to Femi Adesina, haven't heard his voice in a while. I hope he is not losing steam, if so, he should with all dignity intact, resign from his position.

This is what happens when people don't read news properly, OBJ did not bring GSM phones into Nigeria, its just like saying Buhari was the one who initiated the TSA policy, GSM policies were already in place before obasanjo, he just "witnessed" their entrance, go back and do your research before supporting unwarranted travels, while he was junketering, boko haram became the world's most deadly sect, while he was junketering jp morgan took us off its index, while he was junketeering, fuel became more expensive and scarce, while he was still junketeering, REMITA and revenue issues came up. Look at the president of india, south Africa, and see how fellow third world nation presidents make proper use of their time, and look at the corresponding benefits to the economy, obama and co can travel to moon if they wish simply because, their government has policies, and tools in place that the government can run on auto-pilot!!!!
