possess affluence and a means with which they

1. Kola Aluko

Kola Aluko is a Nigerian energy business magnate mainly concerned about African infrastructure development and aviation.The burgeoning businessman is the Co-Chief Officer and an Executive Director of Atlantic Energy, an indigenous, private upstream oil and gas company, focused on independent exploration and production (‘E&P”) participation in Nigeria.The 46-year-old business tycoon has a lot of influence in the Nigerian government and is close allies with former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke. Certain reports disclosed by SaharaReporters allege that he was a front man who laundered most of Diezani’s ill-gotten wealth.The lovely yacht owned by Kola is quite impressive. It is a 65-metre Galactica Star yacht,which is said to cost above $50 million.It can house up to 12 guests and contains a full-beam master suite, an upper-deck VIP cabin, and four further double cabins. Beyond this, is a “beach club” with a 10-square-metre balcony,tons of space to entertain guests, and a helipad.Despite reports that the yacht costs $900,000 a week (£580,000) to charter, we learnt you have to know Kola Aluko before you can rent the yacht.

It was recently rented out to American music
industry power couple, Jay Z and Beyonce for a
holiday cruise.Kola is not new to the lavish life. He was in the news sometime ago for spending $1.5m on chamapagne at Hollywood star, Leonardo
DiCaprio’s birthday party. He is also said to be
close pals with the Inception star as well as
British supermodel, Naomi Campbell.Kola Aluko was ranked by Forbes Africa as one of the 40th Richest Africans, and was also part of the Top Ten list of Successful African Entrepreneurs to Follow on Twitter.

2. Alhaji Aliko Dangote

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, owns a luxury yacht called the ‘Mariya’ which he purchased in 2013. Very little is known about the yacht – who built it or how big it is. Reports have it that the boat costs about $43 million.Photos on the internet show that the yacht looks exactly like the one owned by oil magnate, Femi Otedola only slightly smaller.

After purchasing it, Dangote had the custom
made yacht docked right next to the one belonging to Dangote’s close friend and fellow Forbes billionaire, Femi Otedola.Alhaji Dangote is known for being a go-getter.Earlier this year he put out a bid to buy
controlling shares in UK club, Arsenal FC but his
move was thwarted by other top contenders.

3. Femi Otedola
Chairman of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola owns a yacht
very similar to Dangote’s own and its called
Nana.
The oil and gas sector powerhouse is the
Nigerian President and Chief Executive Officer of
Zenon Petroleum and Gas limited. He is said to
be worth about $1.6 billion currently.
Otedola’s yacht is usually docked at Walter
Carrington In Victoria Island. The beautiful boat
was rented to out Mavin first lady and Forte Oil
ambassador, Tiwa Savage for her baby shower.
Femi’s yacht has also played host to the likes of
Davido and Dele Momodu in the past.
Last year, a photo-shoot with his daughter, DJ
Cuppy on the yacht got quite a lot of attention.

I miffed when I see some of these pictures.
Jay Z, Beyonce, Davido who made millions of cash on music, and we mumu fans will keep following them like f**ls.
Today, MTN, glo and the likes keepaking all these artistes amambassadors paying them millions while graduates and students who are working and reading hard everyday are not remembered by these so-called billionaires.
How many Nigerians have Otedola sponsored to school? Who knows him for his philanthropic inclination? How many poor and hardworking Nigerians has he hanged out with? Instead you will see him with the likes of Davido and other musicians.
That is why I will always respect the likes of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet for their simplicity and their attitude to giving back to the society.
