An Igbo socio-cultural group, the Igbo Conscience has disclosed its intention to establish a radio station to counter what it calls hate speeches and abuses being churned out by the Radio Biafra, promoted by the now-arrested 'Biafra' agitator, Nnamdi Kanu.

The Igbo Congress, in a statement signed by Mr. Joe Igbokwe, a prominent Igbo leader and Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, said the planned radio station was as a result of the negative activities of Radio Biafra, noting that the illegal station had created more enemies for Ndigbo across the country.

He said, “The Igbo Conscience plans to own a radio station to counter hate speeches, abuses, curses and blatant lies of those who say they want Biafra. They have created 100 million enemies for Ndigbo in Nigeria that we have invested so much for more than 100 years.

"Where operators of Radio Biafra speak pathological lies, we will speak the truth and nothing but the truth. Where they preach hate, abuses and curses, we will speak love and peaceful co-existence. Where they issue threats, we will seek dialogue and power of engagement. Where they preach separatism, we will preach strength in diversity.”

I wonder when people should learn how to live in peace. Nigeria and it's citizens need a change or advancement in mentalities.

So the essence of the radio is not to give the igbos a voice but to silence the only voice they have? I wonder who gave this advice, and I wonder what audience they plan to capture. For the fact that these names were mentioned as pioneers of the station has killed it before it even started........africans always doing the wrong things......

Unfortunately, they can't impose followership.

It will be a boring monologue.

This same Joe Igbokwe that lambasted the Igbos for seeking elective political offices in Lagos State?

The same man that takes sides with Southwest against the Easterners?

Selfish slut

The audience would be 100% yoruba/hausa. No igbo person will listen to the trash radio.. lol. Infact they better name it Radio Yoruba/Fulani. I will also be waiting for their protest in Igboland. Waste of resources.

IDGAF if igbos leave, but they should not drag any part of the Niger delta to their Biafra, we here in the ND need 50% control of our resources or an independent Niger Delta republic.

For the Igbo, anything other than Biafra actualization information constitutes zoo noises from caged monkeys and baboons in the zoo.

Does this our Niger Delta Republic include Imo and Abia states, and even Ondo state? Because these states are part of the Niger Delta region.

Don't you think it's wiser to say we have 100% control of our resource(s), which is what the proponents of Biafra are stating?

When did the Niger Delta people reduce it to 50%?

Mind you. I'm also Niger Delta!
