This is gruesome....the lion is ferricious because that is how it is meant to be.....Why snuff life out of it because of its uniqueness. Now they just murdered a threatened specie in the face of international clamour for animal rights. We should have stringent animal/pet laws in Nigeria.

They suppose to sue the Zoo management..... y cant they shoot it with what will make it sleep and take it back to its cage? this shows that they are not fully prepared in keeping animal in there zoo. #myopinion

Why do we like feeling too inferior? I have also watch a video, I think one of the "Amazing video" series in MBC Action, A lion charging on the security was shot dead just when it was about to kill one of the security men. It has already killed a man by that time. Are you going to wait until it kills someone before you put it down?
The moment a wide animal like this escapes into urban population its fate is seal to prevent stuffs like this.

What if they do not have tranquilizers? They should let the lion kill somebody just because they want to preserve the lion? I'm against wasting endegered species like the lion, but sometimes what has to be done needs to be done. The lion is not worth more than a human's life.

Also, in extreme situations whereby tranquilizer guns don't work instantly and the lion is on the verge of attacking a human, then they have to take extreme measures to kill the lion.
