I have recently started dating an Igbo man. He is intelligent, kind and most importantly he is God fearing. I have never dated an African Man before so I’m just looking for a little insight about Igbo men. I have received so much stereotypical information from friends of minds who have never dated an African man. So all I’m asking for is a little helpful information about Igbo men.

What kinds of stereotypical information have you received?

only stupid and brainless men are abusive towards women and it is not an igbo or african man sydronme as you can testify to since you are AA, cuz AA men, white men are also abusive.

so no need to find a general traits among igbo men cuz everyone of them is different. so you just need to find out of what type of person you guy is alone.

Then you don't exactly have anything to worry about yet do you?   He has been a good man to you.  Focus on that and do whatever you can do within your power to make your relationship work.  If he starts being abusive (if any man abuses you) then you might need to take a step back.
For now concentrate on being comfortable with one another.

It depends on what you want and have to offer in the relationship, if you'd want it to end in marriage, I  would advice you get  him to introduce you to his people/relations and be ready to relocate to Nigeria with him if situation comes calling.
Nevertheless, nothing works better than what you are absolute comfortable with, but we can't really say the same when it comes to the thing of the heart.

I dont know what you expect to hear but i can tell you that you are one lucky lady.
If you can be able to capture an Igbo man who loves you,
Then you wont worry about anything because they are usually hardworking and passionate.
But in the case of vice versa, I would run if i were you.
